Other than the smoke detector beeping when we checked in we had no issues whatsoever. They had no batteries at the desk but had no issue getting refunded for the one we bought on the boardwalk. Employee s were very accommodating.

Room is great. Balcony is awesome. Pool is fun and warm, the live entertainment on Saturday at the pool is a nice treat too!!!

This place was only okay. The rooms were quite spacious but they got really hot in the living room even with the fan on. I had to sleep on the pull out couch and I didn't even sleep on it because the mattress was so thin you sunk right through and hit the metal bars. The actual bed in the bedroom was quite nice though.

We stayed at the Diplomat over Memorial Day weekend from Thursday May 25 through Monday May 29. Although the weather wasn't the greatest, it didn't stop us from having a great time. The Diplomat offers great hospitality with comfortable rooms and a convenient location to the Beach and Boardwalk. As an added attraction, the Diplomat now features Keith Hickman performing live on the pool deck on Saturdays and Sundays from Noon to 4 pm. This talented singer will be returning July 1. We are looking forward to returning to the Diplomat soon!

Great spot to stay in Wildwood. Location can't be beat, only a block and a half from the boardwalk and beach. The area is packed with restaurants and nightlife. Room was perfect size for our group (only 3 people). Not sure if all rooms are the same size or not. There is a pool on a 2nd floor deck with a couple grills. Definitely would recommend using this spot for a trip down the shore

I was lost looking for this place and a guy was screaming at me from a balcony. When I was at the correct hotel he tried to tell me that this wasn’t a hotel. Very rude wouldn’t even speak to me just screamed at me. Contacting for return of money. Just nasty to treat people so poorly when you are out of town.

EDIT: This was originally a 1 star review, but after a great talk with the building owner I've changed it to a 4. Building staff is very friendly, under new management, and focused on keeping things clean and nice. The pool deck and lobby reflect this well. The problems listed below are due to Island Reality's cleaning team (or lack of one apparently) and the condo owners.
Rooms look like they were last remodeled in the mid 80s, and last cleaned months ago. The room was absolutely filthy on the inside. Dirt and dust everywhere, bathroom is in desperate need of a good cleaning, the appliances weren't even plugged in, the carpets look old and ragged, and the entire place smelled of mildew and water damage. I've seen roadside motels that had a better quality of cleanliness. The building owner seemed determined to fix these problems thankfully

Ok rooms, kind of run down. The building elevator can only be accessed from the back small parking lot. There doesn't appear to be any building management or staff working here. There are signs on the lobby doors to just let packages at the door, somebody will be around to get them. My biggest complaint was that they locked off the parking lot at night. Beware if you drive anywhere at night.

Been coming here for over 20 years. Most every room is up to date with modern necessity(flat screens, furniture, wifi). The pool area with an awesome BBQ grilling area is always nice and clean.
