Boardwalk Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach

Check in was great! When we got to our floor the whole hallway smelt like a nursing home/hospital. When we entered our room it was extremely out dated! The stove and fridge looked like it was from the 70’s the room looked like it was a cheap truck stop motel rather than a resort. When we looked in the bathroom the bath tub had no knob. We had to call the front desk and they sent maintenance to come fix it while we were at the pools. When we went to go lay in bed we checked the sheets and mattress and there was blood stains all over the sheets. Also body fluid on the top sheet as well. Called the front desk and a female worker said there was no one to bring us no sheets. She told us that we would have to come down to get them. When I went to grab more sheets there was a guy at the front desk. I showed the guy the photos I took of the sheets and he kept apologizing over and over again as he was getting us new sheets. Guy at the front desk also told us that we should come back in the morning to definitely discuss this with the manager.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, one of the beds was broke and room definitely was very outdated. The handle on the toilet was messed up. And the garage elevator was broke downs. The whole hotel smelled like weed.

Pictures on website are misleading. No water pressure in shower. The whole building looks like it is one bad wind away from falling over. No idea how this place is still open. Everything is outdated by 30 years. The best thing about this place is I get to leave and go home.

My mother in law paid over 3 grand for 7 nights…. But the room smelled like smoke so strongly it was burning our eyes and nose. Immediately found dirt and sand in the beds. Stuff all over the floor. Mold in the bathrooms. Hair on the pillows. Murphy bed headboard was broken. Table was broken. For 5 people we were given 8 towels to last the week and told it would be $35 if we needed more. Room wouldn’t cool off because the curtains cover the ac. Had to prop stuff in front of the curtains to make them stay back so the room would cool off.

Boardwalk is a dump motel that should be torn down, we stayed there five days and wanted to leave first day, dirty, unkept, and has no maintenance. Room did not have top sheet, deck was falling off building, and noise was unbearable from kids screaming and parents screaming. GO TO BREAKERS THREE HOTELS DOWN BEACH.

What a dump! Rented through Airbnb. The ratings were 5.0 on the site and this place was the total opposite. We checked in on the 13th of July 2024. We were supposed to be there till the 17th. We checked out the next day. What a disappointment. Do not book at the Boardwalk in Myrtle Beach. Disgusting!
