Carolinian Beach Resort by Vacasa in Myrtle Beach

Overall, wasn’t too thrilled with the service, to be honest. Our first night there, we found out our shower didn’t work (the temperature of the water was either super hot or cold, no in between.) The maintenance employee tried to play it off that he fixed it and my boyfriend asked about the water temperature. The guy then was honest and said it was either hot or cold. They then put us in a different room for our first night, when we paid for a ocean front room and didn’t have that. Then we couldn’t really do anything our first full day of our vacation, because they said that we had to stick around and wait for a call saying that we could move our stuff back to our original room after they had the shower fixed. The employees weren’t very personable. We got the call midday and had to move all of our stuff again. We genuinely were understanding, but I feel like the whole situation could have been handled a little better personally. — The room also had a weird smell to it. I can’t fully describe it but the smell was not a good one. It smelt dirty. — Despite all of this, we made our vacation the best we could! Trying to be out of the room as much as possible. Always have to look for the positive!

Bed Bugs!! Bed Bugs!! Bed Bugs!!🪳There’s not much else to say other than that. Woke up covered in welts from my face to feet, kids were covered in them too. Then found a TON of adult bed bugs on our pillow and under the bed- if you don’t know what they look like then look them up. It was our whole family there, so now everyone is trying to figure out how to stop the spread/where to sleep before going home instead of enjoying the rest of the vacation. Exterminator came to confirm they were bed bugs and couldn’t believe what he seen.

Get weekly pest services, this is absolutely ridiculous and disgusting. I tried to attach pictures, but not sure they allow it on their reviews.

Apart from being close to the beach and a reception staff doing their job properly, nothing else is worth it here. The rooms need a major update at least on the floor we stayed, we saw multiple cockroaches, stained & dirty AC vents and the crew in their parking lot could use a lot of training in hospitality. They talk to their guests as without any consideration of what's happening

We did find out other floors have better rooms compared to the 8th floor where our room was.

Also, their parent company (Vacasa) will lie to you outright about other properties of theirs being fully booked which wasn't the case when we passed by the place we were inquiring about initially had a vacancy sign on.

Start off with. I am almost certain I didn't book the room we got. I booked a room with a Murphy bed that folded out of the wall. I got put in a room with a sofa bed. Most uncomfortable thing I have slept on. The room looked very clean when we got into the room. My daughter was crawling on the floor and her feet and knees were black when we picked her up. The beds in the bedroom were so uncomfortable u could feel the springs in the mattress. The only thing I liked about this place was the codes to get in the parking deck and the building u were in and also ur room had a code. Will mark this off my places to stay next time. Not worth the money.
