Ocean Club Resort Myrtle Beach a Ramada by Wyndham in Myrtle Beach

Started off bad with a surprise fee of 10.00 a day packing in hotel packing lot. That's a first for me. No mention of that fee on website. Must be a member or on the rewards to get free packing. They were doing some painting but that was the only good thing. Hotel very run down, old and damaged furnishings . Not worth what we paid.

They were doing construction & most of the rooms were closed. Room was very out dated & needs a lot of major upgrades. Found live centipede in the tub upon arrival & had no shampoo or soap in the bathroom. Why do I need to pay more $ to park my car there if I'm a paying customer to stay in your establishment?

Construction was constantly banging and loud and didn't make for a restful time.

When we first arrived an employee was playing loud music right outside the rooms while they were emptying trash. The first room we were given hadn't been cleaned. The front desk very quickly gave me another room. That room had glitchy lights. They didn't work at first then the front desk sent maintenence and they worked until the next evening. We couldn't get the light over the table or the lamp by the couch to work for the rest of the night through the next morning when we checked out. Some of the furniture is worn and stained. Two of the pillowcases in one of the bedrooms were dirty and there was no soap in one of the bathrooms. Check out is at 10 which is too early I think. But what really got to me was the fact that housekeeping knocked on our door twice before 9am the day we were to leave. When I went to the door after the first knock no one was there. After the second knock someone called out housekeeping but again no one was there when I went to the door but then I heard someone shout out that they would come back later. It was very weird and unprofessional. The front desk and maintenence staff were all great but I won't be going back

Would like to have been told property was under renovation. Room windows very dirty. Plumbing especially toilets not good. One toilet would not flush. View of beach was excellent. Would not stay there again until completely redone.
