The Lakeview - West Lake Lotus Apartments in Hanoi

I booked this hotel on Agoda. After arriving I had to wait 2 hours in the rain before I was given the correct access code to the property, the one initially received did not work. When I finally entered the room, it did not appear to be clean, and the TV was missing the remote. There was a stack of remotes near the reception, but I was not allowed to take one. Very weird experience, and I will definitely not return here. Any other hotel in this area, for this price, is noticably better.

I have never had to give such a low rating before but this place left me stranded and offered no assistance. Don't book here, I am so glad booking.com let me cancel on the day because there is no way anyone should give this place their money. They don't care about customers.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This was the most disgusting hotel with horrible “service” which lives on false advertising. Do not stay here. Mold, dirt, ants, grapes, random dirty flip flops where in our room when we arrived — not to mention we didn’t even get the room we booked.

Booked here and they sent me a confirmation. When I arrived at (9:30pm) they first told me the room has a bad smell and I should go somewhere else. Then they said they have no room. After travelling 10+ this is the worst news. I frantically had to look for other accommodation.

The staff are rude he was just laughing, terrible company don’t waste your time here.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL EXPERIENCE

Hotel at 4 km from the old quarter. Nobody at the reception during my 3 nights at this hotel. When you arrive, you need to contact the hotel with Facebook, and they will give you the code of the elevator, and the Wifi. The room was not very clean. The furniture was very old. As the TV did not work, i contacted the reception, and they changed me the day after, to a better room. The new room was more clean. But the bathroom smelt not good as they may had an air extractor issue. At night, the neighbour didn't stop shouted: as we had nobody at the reception during night, i prefered not to tell the neighbour that he made too much noise. As i already paid for the room, i had to stay in this hotel, and after 3 night, i moved to an hotel with a higher price, but with a clean room, and a reception with staff, even at night.
The price of this hotel is low, but the level of service, the environment, and also the furniture did not meet the level of price. I will never go again on this kind of hotel.

If you need a place to sleep and shower, this is it. Do not expect too much. The apartments are accessed via an elevator and you need a code to get in. They didn't send the code prior to arrival so I had to call to get in.

The room was basic, two doubles pushed together for a king sized bed. A couch with a cover that had stains on it, 2 desks, a coffee table, chair. There was just too much furniture in the room. The walls had cracks and chipped paint. The bathroom had an odor that likely is from all the mold around the edges of the tub and sink.

The place was generally dirty, someone was sweeping the hallway then left all the dirt there. I would not stay here again. The pictures online do not match the reality of the apartments.

Very dirty and very noisy construction below, I upgraded to very fancy room, but I got there and it was nothing like as described, the patio doors didn't even fit the hole, I left straight away.
