The hotel's location is super convenient, with plenty of mini-marts and restaurants right downstairs. There's even an HSBC ATM at the entrance, though withdrawing cash costs 100,000 VND per transaction. Breakfast is acceptable, with a decent variety – not too much, not too little. One thing to note is that the room window faces the hallway, not the outside.

Hotel is easily accessible by grab taxi from airport. Ben Thanh market, Bui Vien walking street and Post Office all within walking distance. Plenty of eateries and mini mart around. Hotel’s breakfast is normal. Perhaps, hotel can look into a Mon/Wed/Fri and Tues/Thur/Sat/Sun type A and type B breakfast menu instead of the same everyday. Overall, value for money.

The air conditioner works well. It was very close to the metro station, Ho Chi Minh City Square, and the market.

Some rooms, including mine, have windows facing the corridor, which made them a bit smelly. However, considering the price, it's a really great deal. If you like bars, there's a lively bar street right downstairs.

The hotel's location is fantastic – within walking distance to many attractions, and the surrounding area is bustling at night, yet the rooms remain quiet, offering a peaceful retreat in a lively spot. The room amenities are a bit basic and somewhat dated, but that's understandable given the reasonable price. All the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, always smiling, greeting guests, and ready to assist with any questions. Breakfast is good too; it's simple but filling, and you can even order à la carte for free (check the third picture). The last coffee in the picture was bought while out shopping.

Room is big and spacious, location is great near central market and lot of eatery around. Hotel staff are friendly and approachable. Will stay this hotel when visit Ho Chi Minh again.

For a small shoplot type of hotel, Saigonciti Hotel A sets a new standard for the competition! Comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms, great breakfast, and staff always on standby for every query and assistance required. Did I mention the unbeatable price? Extra 10 points also for it being close to all the must-visits in District 1. Another bonus is the Central Market food court is just across the street, which is a great place to sample HCMC delicacies in one spot.

We did encounter some hiccups with the room - a faulty door lock and a bathroom light that went out. Both issues were promptly dealt with by the staff. The receptionist was fantastic too as she's fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin - she helped me find the best coffee in town and great local foodie spots.

I know I would definitely come back the next time I'm in town.

One of the worst possible hotel that I ever saw in my life. Horrible staff... Very uncourteous. It seems all they are interested is, in the wallet of customers without taking care of the needs. Very pushy staff. Hotel itself have crampy rooms and no air circulation. I will never ever go back there again.

We checked out after being there for an hour. We were totally okay with how old the hotel was because you get what you pay for. However friendly customer service can be accomplished free of charge.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with the front desk when we asked for simple directions to the spa, servers being rude, very loud staff with stuff everywhere while they setup for a wedding.

I understand business must be done but it can be done politely. We ended up checking out immediately without causing a problem at the front desk and even paid 500k VND or $20 USD for the hour we were there.

We immediately booked an Airbnb down the road for less price but with amazing customer service, great location, solid WiFi and even free washer dryers in District 1. So my advice is to avoid this hotel and go with a solid Airbnb.
