Central Palace Hotel in Ho Chi Minh

Rooms have everything you need for a short stay but bathrooms in particular are a bit tired and look a bit grubby due to aging grout etc. Not many sun beds around the pool and it shuts at 7pm. Breakfast has plenty of choice although the juice wasn’t great and the pastries tasted stale. Great location though and all the staff were friendly.

The room itself is nice, as expected from a Palace Hotel, but it's a bit old and showing its age. On my first night, I went to take a shower at 10:30 PM and there was no hot water. I called a staff member to check it, and after a quick look, they just said the hot water was back and left. A little later, I called again to say there was still no hot water, and they had to come up three or four more times. The maintenance person got annoyed, but I was even more frustrated – am I not even supposed to shower when I stay at a hotel? Eventually, they moved me to a different room, which wasn't much better; the water there wasn't hot either.

I stayed there a second night. First thing in the morning, I told the front desk I needed another room, explaining I hadn't slept well and couldn't even take a proper shower. The person at the front desk said, 'Our hot water is always like this,' and seemed clearly annoyed, giving off a 'take it or leave it' vibe. They basically implied that the water heater functions this way, with each room having its own separate unit, whether electric or gas.

Cospa is great! It was a very nice hotel. I was a little disappointed that I didn't have breakfast at Coron. There's a convenience store nearby. I'd love to stay again when I come to Ho Chi Minh City.

Great hotel for the location and price. There are all the thing you expect and more. Breakfast is good too.

Overall, my stay was comfortable and the staff were courteous and helpful. However, I would like to suggest one improvement for business travelers: having an iron readily available in the room would be highly beneficial.
While housekeeping kindly provides an iron upon request, it is limited to 30 minutes, which may not be sufficient—especially when preparing for early or urgent meetings. Adding in-room ironing facilities would greatly enhance the convenience for guests on tight schedules.
