Jovia Hotel in Ho Chi Minh

Came to this Hotel for four nights. Made a booking in advance months before. A cityview room, the more pricey option (still cheap). Bigger and with a nice bathtub. We did arrive a bit early but were still able to check-in. Lady at the front desk was friendly as was the rest of the staff. My card got charged correctly, no issues there. Had to sign some forms before getting to our room. For damages and - as many mentioned - for the cleanliness, in case we make something overly dirty. Got a nice room on the fourth floor. With windows to both sides of the corner, really nice city views as promised. The room was nice and spacious. A huge bed, cool AC and free WiFi. Mini-fridge and a safe as well. Bathroom was very nice. But in the end the bathtub wasn't really something we used. Looks very pretty. But since there was no shower curtain at all, showering was difficult without making a compete mess. I guess we'd opt just for a shower next time. Compared to some other Hotels the walls were a bit thin and there was some noise from the floor and other rooms. But not from the traffic. Still had a very good sleep. Location is fantastic. The street has everything you need. A food cart selling "Banh Mi" just across the street. Opening very early and selling coffee as well. A coffe and a big Banh Mi only sets you back 1.50$. The Ben Thanh Market is only a few minutes walk away and the Ben Nghe Street Food Market about a 15min walk only. The Hotel itself appears a bit dated outside and in the Lobby. Didn't see the rooftop pool, simply didn't have time. But could use a bit of updating this place. Our room was great though, in very good shape. Didn't need the included breakfast, since we always went to the food cart outside. Checked out early in the morning to catch our flight. The moment we wondered if there would be any complaints about dirty towels or so. Like many stated. But no, all went smoothly, no extra charges. It may not be the bigges or most modern Hotel. But the room was very nice, the views as well. And the location is perfect. We enjoyed our stay here.

Amazing location for Ho Chi Minh!

Great hotel- great budget prices. Clean and safe - great location. Staff are unbelievably friendly- polite - and will do anything and everything for you. Great location Only problem at the moment there is a crazy load music venue nearby.. you can hear the thumping and see the flashing lights .. stop about 11pm (luckily)

This is my second time staying here. It's conveniently located and I was able to relax at my own pace.

Last time, I didn't notice that there were several deaf people working there, but this time I was like, "Huh? They actually couldn't hear me? I had no idea!" I'm not sure if they understood the Japanese sign language for "thank you."

But this trip made me realize that communication other than words is fun.

It was a trip to Ho Chi Minh City that was full of gratitude, and I was truly thankful and grateful for everything that happened as it was.

This room is not as good as last time

The staff is friendly and the room is clean. It takes a long time to get hot water. Maybe the hot pot is too far away. There is a 24-hour convenience store downstairs. It is very convenient. It is very close to Ben Thanh Market and currency exchange.
