The Hammock Hotel Ben Thanh in Ho Chi Minh

Came back to Vietnam for Tet and of course we picked Hammock Hotel again. The best part? The receptionist with dimples actually remembered me 😂 and said, “Oh, you stayed here before!”. The previous stay was in August’25!

The staff here are always smiley, friendly, and super helpful. Even the security guard makes you feel safe and looked after. Breakfast is a solid 5 stars every morning, and the pantry is a lifesaver: cup noodles, chips, mineral water, oolong tea, and yes… Bia Saigon / Bivina 🍻.

The location is perfect too. You’ve got banh mi outlets, cafés, and food all around, so grabbing a bite is never a hassle.

During my stay I even managed late-night work sessions with a combo of beer and cup noodles, while doing laundry at the same time. Multitasking level unlocked 😅.

One small feedback though: the shower tiles in my room (and also from my previous stay) are really slippery. It would be great if anti-slip coating or rougher tiles could be added for safety 🙏🏼.

Overall, Hammock Hotel still feels like my go-to in Saigon. Cozy, convenient, and full of thoughtful touches.

Great value for money, with snacks, milk, and instant noodles available for guests to take freely.

The American-style decor is lovely, and the hammock in the room is a unique touch. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a real highlight with a great ambiance. The location is super convenient too. I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Ho Chi Minh City.

The staff at the front desk were exceptionally friendly, and the bed was remarkably comfortable. The bathroom was also extremely clean and had a good selection of toiletries

Delicious free hotel breakfast, the carbonara spaghetti is my favourite! 😋

Just a really great place to stay for location and easy access to arrange tours from. Plenty of nightlife and great food and restaurants practically from the moment you step outside of hotel. And best of all clean and really friendly and helpful staff 👌🏽 👍🏽 👏🏼

Room is quite small for the average size in HCMC, staff is super friendly and helpful, location is fantastic. Recommend for solo travellers. only stayed 1 night, didnt use any of the facilities

Awesome location, very unique hotel with platform bed. Has a very nice rooftop with free to use washing machine, dryer, cup noodles, pastry, coffee and drinks.
