Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon in Ho Chi Minh

We stayed at this hotel over the Christmas and New Year's holiday. On the night of the 31st, we had a fantastic view of the New Year's fireworks right from our window. It was also very convenient to walk to several main attractions. The staff were all very warm and professional. The facilities are a bit dated, but I heard that the rooms are being renovated in batches. I'm looking forward to staying in a new room on a future visit. The picture shows the view from our window on the night of the 31st.

Second time staying at Renaissance Riverside Saigon. 10/10 recommend! It just so happened to be my birthday during this stay, and I hadn't mentioned it to the hotel at all, but they surprised me with a celebratory cake automatically! So surprised! 🥰🤩 Much thanks! ☺️

The facilities are a bit dated, but the room was surprisingly quiet. We also happened to catch an event and had a great view from our room to watch it for free – a definite bonus!

Cleanliness: The room was very clean.

Service: Housekeeping was excellent. They even noticed we were low on complimentary water and proactively replenished it with two extra bottles.

Opened in 1999, It’s a dated full 5 star luxury property. Currently there is an ongoing Renovation but it’s unclear which areas have been completed.
The hotel’s selling point is perhaps the 4 rooms per floor with a very wonderful view of the roundabout. It’s pretty cool. I was lucky to get assigned one. The rates would have been a lot higher in the past. It’s like the one of the best hotels in Saigon way back in the early 2000s. It still has its charm but i would appreciate if there upgrading of key facilities such as carpets and ventilation systems were done more regularly. There was clearly an odor in the room of old age. Most 1990s buildings with centralized ventilation actually have this musty smell. But it can be treated by replacing the entire ventilation system and cleaning out the ducts. That’ll cost money but I’m it’ll be great for their business.

Stayed here for a business trip. The location is quite convenient, about 7 km from the airport. They offer taxi services, and you can pay with a credit card for the approximately $15 fare.
Service: The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Facilities: The rooftop pool offers excellent night views.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, but it's an older property, and the interior decor feels quite dated. For a business traveler like myself, it offers decent value for a short stay. The service, however, was very good. There's a lot of motorcycle traffic outside, so you can expect some noise in the room, which might be an issue for light sleepers.

Marriott properties never disappoint. The hotel is ideally located in a prime spot in downtown Ho Chi Minh City, right at the intersection by the Tran Hung Dao statue. Many HCMC attractions are within walking distance, and within a 2km radius, you'll find several Michelin-starred restaurants, plus Workshop Coffee, ranked No. 3 in Asia. Although the hotel has some age, it's impeccably maintained. The front desk staff communicated flawlessly in English, and the bellhop handled all our luggage from start to finish. Breakfast was superb, better than what you'd typically find at hotels of a similar caliber. The pool's water quality was excellent. An unexpected highlight was discovering that the lobby bar serves top-tier local Vietnamese East West IPA on tap – absolutely fantastic!

Nice place to visit HCM, the hotel is old, pillow is too soft, but staff was very friendly and smile and polite all the time. Will come back again

While the hotel's facilities are a bit dated, the location and views are simply unbeatable. Our club room offered fantastic value for money. The food selection was extensive, available throughout the day, and featured new dishes daily. The staff were exceptionally warm, attentive, and thoughtful, with excellent English communication skills. There's also a restaurant right next door that's been operating for 40 years – it's absolutely delicious and a must-try!
