Reviews
The room itself was dirty and poorly maintained. The blinds did not close properly, which meant no privacy at all-if you wanted to change clothes, people outside could see you,and relaxing or sleeping longer in the morning was impossible. The bathroom door also had blinds,so you could hear and smell everything, which was very uncomfortable.
For a boutique hotel that claims to be 4-star,not providing a conditioner is unacceptable. The mirror showed signs of corrosion, the shower made strange and unpleasant noises, and the safe in the room did not work.
On top of everything, waiting for the elevator took more than 20 minutes, which was extremely frustrating.
Overall, this was a very poor experience, and I definitely would not recommend this hotel.
Hygiene: Unbeatable, absolutely spotless.
Environment: Very distinctive ambiance.
Service: The service was truly memorable. You absolutely must come here; you won't regret it. It's the best hotel, each with its own unique charm and a strong Vietnamese flair.
This was honestly the worst hotel experience I’ve had in the past 10 years. I’ve stayed in many hotels across Asia, but this one was just horrible.
First, during check-in, they asked me to pay a 1,000,000 VND deposit, which was not mentioned anywhere in my booking. When I asked why, the receptionist just said it was “the hotel rule” and that I had to pay. I didn’t want to argue, so I paid. Later, I spoke with at least four other guests from different countries — and none of them had to pay any deposit. So, I really don’t understand why they charged only me.
Then, my room was dirty, and I noticed that the bathtub was broken. Because I had paid a deposit, I took photos as proof that it wasn’t my fault. In the evening, I tried to watch TV, but it was not working. I wanted to call reception, but the phone was also broken. I had to go down to the lobby just to tell them.
That night, I started coughing a lot, and later realized the air conditioner was extremely dirty. I couldn’t sleep with it on, so I turned it off and took pictures — it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years.
After staying there, I moved to two other hotels in Ho Chi Minh City — both were clean, comfortable, and didn’t ask for any deposit.
I also saw another guest arguing at the reception about the deposit.
I really don’t know if they were trying to scam me or if I just got the worst room in the hotel, but everything was broken and unpleasant. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed and do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
This is second times to stay at this hotel. I highly recommend.
The only disappointment was the ongoing road construction outside of my room from midnight until 4am, which sounded like it was actually in my room, and gave me a terrible night's sleep. The whole area seems to be undergoing re-pavement so a lot of the sidewalks and paths don't exist and you are forced to walk on the road.
There is lots to do nearby and if your capable everything is within walking distance pretty easily in the evening, just be careful of the rain 🌧
