Vien Dong Hotel in Ho Chi Minh

Overall is a good hotel. It is on the bigger hotel vs most of the HCM hotels. However, do check they provide the correct room as mine wasn’t and they provided the right one the next night. Manager did gave extra hours to check out due to this. Also, most of the hotels’ breakfast are above average in terms taste, for this, it is just average. They ticked most of the good hotels. One of the concierge is overly friendly like I was busy or making phone calls, he still insisted to say hello. I did politely tell him I am busy. Even when I had entered the lift, he will still poke his face to say hello. Unlikely will return.

A very good hotel for a 3-star rating. Excellent value for money. Wonderful breakfasts with plenty of fruit, as well as Vietnamese and European cuisine. A good and affordable afternoon buffet, though it’s a pity that only vegetarian dishes are available. The location is right next to the main entertainment street in the very center.

My mother and I stayed at the Vien Dong Hotel for 6 nights. Whist there were a few minor issues with our rooms, such as bath plugs getting stuck, any issues we had were quickly remedied. The team at Vien Dong showed the greatest care to hospitality and making us feel welcomed. I have to specifically give credit to Hau and Vuong, the doormen, who were always incredibly friendly.
The location was very convenient, everything we needed was within a 10 minute walk. From convenience stores, to pharmacies, to restaurants. I could not recommend the Vien Dong Hotel more highly, hence I felt compelled to share this review.
If you’re staying in Ho Chi Minh City, this is a great value stay.
Word of warning, veer away from apartments on booking.com. We moved accommodation for the remainder of our trip, which clearly highlighted the service we received at the Vien Dong. Both the Rivergate Residence and Opera Residence confirmed our bookings, but did not follow through, and cancelled our bookings. The Vien Dong Hotel stands in stark contrast to the disappointment of these aforementioned residences.
For a hassle free time, look no further.

Good location, and fast services

Clean, good position, polite staff.

Clean rooms. Not too far from the "Walking Street" where all the clubs and bars are located. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful.
