Royal Hotel Saigon in Ho Chi Minh

The hotel is in a central location, making it very convenient for getting around. The staff are warm and attentive. The hotel facilities have a charming, old-world feel and are very clean and tidy. A great experience overall! 👍

The hotel is in a very central location, directly across from The Cafe Apartment, and close to all the attractions.

We recently stayed at the Royal Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City for about a week and celebrated the New Year there. We booked two rooms, and interestingly, both had different bathroom layouts and sanitary fittings. In our room, the toilet was quite low, and at first we thought that was the standard, but our children’s room had a regular-height toilet. On the other hand, our room had a very comfortable washbasin, while the one in the kids’ room was not very convenient and made washing a bit difficult.

The bathroom hot tub was very handy and much better than having just a shower — I really enjoyed it. The rooms were well equipped with everything needed: scales, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, disposable combs, an emergency sewing kit, and more. Every day we received a complimentary bottle of water, which was very convenient.

The location is absolutely perfect. We were right in the center of everything — all city events and attractions were literally just steps away. The staff were attentive and friendly, and special thanks to the doormen. It felt like he remembered everyone’s faces; he was always welcoming us with a smile, whether in the morning or when returning to the hotel. That kind of greeting really makes a difference and sets a great tone for the day.

The beds were very comfortable, and the linens and towels were snow-white and perfectly arranged every day. Breakfasts were excellent, with a wide variety of options from Asian to European cuisine. I still miss the pâté, which was available daily — it was delicious.

The hotel is clean, neat, and well maintained. If we return to Ho Chi Minh City, I would happily stay here again.

As a small suggestion for improvement, it would be great to have a full-length mirror in the room, as well as shelves or a wardrobe with drawers. Staying for a full week made it difficult to unpack properly, as there was nowhere to organize our belongings. The bedside tables and desks didn’t have drawers or shelves either. This is more of a personal preference than a real downside, but worth mentioning.

Overall, a very pleasant stay and a hotel I would gladly recommend.

Very Good location for walker, staffs so friendly this is my second time but they remember me, room was too big for 1 person but tiny bathroom that i'm still okay, huge bed, TV well working. breakfast was so great!!!! will back again for sure.

Great hotel right in the middle of everything! We booked 2 rooms as a family of 4 adults. The rooms were spacious and had plenty of space for our luggage. They're equipped with fridges as well, which was great for keeping our water bottles cool. One room was on one side of the hotel, overlooking a market, and the other was across the hall, which had a view of the main street. My mother-in-law stayed in the room with the main street view, and unfortunately it was a big weekend (Honda Appreciation Weekend and a wedding in the event hall downstairs). She said it was too loud, but otherwise once the event concluded, the noise wasn't terrible.

Everything was clean and we had no issues with hot or warm water. I will say, if anyone in your group has mobility issues, the bathtub walls are fairly tall, so you'll have to get in and out of the tub more cautiously. The elevators are also on the slower side.

The breakfast was great! It was probably the best one we had throughout the trip. They had a good variety of dishes and leaned more Vietnamese, which we loved. They have an assortment of breads and an egg station for Western preferences as well. Each day was slightly different, which was good since we stayed for a few days. The breakfast area was also spacious and can accommodate plenty of guests without feeling overcrowded.

Would definitely recommend and would revisit the next time we come to Saigon!

We stayed at the Hotel Royal Saigon for a family vacation and it was just perfect! The room was extremely clean and comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The breakfast was amazing, with so many choices and everything was delicious! The hotel staff also helped my uncle book an amazing dinner cruise with a great show and fantastic singers. It was absolutely wonderful!
Special thanks to HÒA THUẬN, who really listened to our needs and was incredibly helpful and kind. He even brought a birthday cake for my uncle that was so sweet! Thank you again for everything. For my first big trip abroad, I couldn’t be happier!!

We recently stayed at the Royal Hotel Saigon and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a fantastic location—close to many attractions, shops, and restaurants—making it easy to explore the city. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, offering a relaxing retreat after a busy day.

What really stood out was the staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful.

Overall, the Royal Hotel Saigon is a lovely place to stay, combining great service with an excellent location. Highly recommended!

Top location, hotel with tradition and great service

We stayed in a triple room, which was very spacious, with a lot of room for all our luggage and the biggest double bed I've ever seen (it could have easily for all 3 of us!) and an extra big bed.
The whole hotel is very clean, and offers a lot of amenities. There are beautiful paintings exhibited everywhere; part of the lobby is like an art gallery and the rooms and corridors also have paintings.
The staff are polite, friendly and helpful with any queries and issues from luggage to hospitals.

I did expect a bit more from the breakfast buffet, this being a four star hotel (and for the higher price of accommodation), but the quality of the food was overall not so great. For my taste it was also lacking in fresh fruit and non-fried options; plus the dishes were very bland. The coffee was weak, like Americano; it only appealed to a North-western European standard (I've seen other hotels offering Vietnamese coffee and hot water to top off for those who prefer it weaker, that would have been a much preferred option).

Overall the Royal Saigon is a perfect spot to explore the busy life in Ho Chi Minh City, as there are many sights, restaurants, cafés etc. within walking distance. And you can schedule a refreshing break at the hotel in between the long walks (especially when it gets very hot in the early afternoon).
