Do not stay here - please just stay somewhere else. The location is good (but there are so many hotels with good locations)
We stayed 1 night:
- There was black mold in our room.
- The Aircon leaked during the night, leaving a puddle on the floor.
- Walls are very thin.
- The room stunk of smoke, hotel also allows people to smoke in the lobby. They have a sign saying no smoking in rooms - but provide ash trays in rooms 🫠
We were happy we only stayed 1 night

Cannot recommend this hotel at all especially with so many other hotels to choose from around the area.

The price for this room was high, not sure if this was due to New Year’s Eve. The room is very small, just big enough for two beds and out bags squashed in. The bathroom also small with hand held shower. It was clean. The front desk staff were friendly enough.

Unfortunately, our experience at the Lucky Star wasn’t good, and we wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
The biggest downside for us was the smell
of the rooms, they absolutely reeked of cigarettes. It was literally as if you were in the same room as a lit cigarette at all times. Although this hotel has “no smoking” signs, each room comes with an ash tray!! I can only assume our neighbouring rooms were smoking inside and that’s why the smell was so terrible.
When it comes to the room itself, the walls were chipped and dirty. We found a roach in the bathroom. There was no hot water. The refrigerator is lukewarm at best, which is complicated for people who travel with medication. The AC is LOUD, we had to sleep with ear plugs because of the insane rattling noises! Cool but not cold.
Sadly, with the smell and the general grime of the room, we were left completely disgusted.
This being said, the floor and sheets were clean, and the bathroom had adequate toiletries. If you needed more toiletries, they were brought up to you promptly.
I also need to mention, when we arrived staff asked us to cancel our “Booking.com” reservation and book directly with them for the same price. They claimed we could check in earlier if we did this. We cancelled our booking, and yet not all rooms were ready for our group, the rest still had to wait.
Finally, we were also told water bottles were free, and when we checked out we were pressured to pay for the water bottles we drank.
These two things felt “scammy”
For these reasons and more we urge you to book elsewhere!

I booked Lucky Star 226 but end up at the reception when checking-in telling me the rooms are all over-booked full and had to book a taxi to send us to Lucky Star 146, then end up telling us there was only one room left with 1 queen bed room for us 2 men, while I’ve requested and paid for two single beds room, plus on the next day inquiring us to pay additional fee for upgrade to two single beds room. On the check out day, we were charged every item from instant noodles to snacks in the room without finding any “complimentary” or snack bar menu. It was awful, don’t mention the noisy location and the hygiene starting from the towels and broken glass door in the shower room!

I want to say the area us great, in between a lot of activity where this block is fun has shopping and just not as crazy as two blocks away.
Had to pay $100000 dongs to fix a fan that fell off wall becuse a screw came loose. Thats how u lose business. Cleaning staff were wonderful.

Front desk agent is very nice and sweet. Doorman is very grumpy and rude. The inconvenience was that they didn’t allow us two have keys and made every person to scan their id if they went to any room. You’re allow to have visitors.

The place is really quiet. I have to go to all the trouble. What a mess. The staff is always there to help. It's not cool at all. The air conditioner is broken or they don't clean it. It smells like cigarettes as soon as you open the room. I'm not satisfied. I made a reservation for 4 days but I just checked out. I don't care if I don't get my money back. Ugh
