Balcony Nha Trang Hotel in Nha Trang

We booked a room at this hotel to leave our luggage for 4 hours before heading to the airport. We did not plan to sleep or stay there.

At the reception, the manager noticed we had a child with us and demanded an additional payment of 100,000 dong for the room. When we explained that we did not plan to stay in the room and only needed it for our luggage, and therefore saw no reason to pay extra, the manager stated that our child had to wait in the lobby and was not even allowed to ENTER THE ROOM! She added that hotel security would monitor this, and if they saw the child enter, we would be fined.

Now, about the hotel itself (since we ended up paying for the stay). Despite the no-smoking policy, guests of this hotel smoke everywhere, and security does absolutely nothing about it.

Perhaps for a 3-star hotel, such an attitude toward guests is considered normal. However, in my life, I have never encountered a situation where a guest, especially a small child, was not allowed into a room during the DAYTIME!

I must emphasize, it's not about the money, but about the attitude!

In the end, we returned to our hotel around the corner, where we were warmly welcomed. They did not refuse anyone the use of the restroom and sent our suitcases to their storage room completely free of charge.

I definitely cannot recommend staying at Balcony. It takes real effort to ruin someone's mood before a trip like that.

But if you absolutely don't care about the conditions you live in or how you are treated, then this is an excellent option for your stay.

Everything bad this time at Balcony Hotel. But especially the room with very small balcony and the disrespectful boy from reception...
