Bella Hotel in Gagra

1. The receptionist's service was appalling. The setting: November 2024, the hotel grounds are surrounded by a high fence with spikes. The door to the lobby and the gate on this fence close at 11:00 PM, as indicated by a note on the reception desk in the lobby. The hotel management suggests calling WhatsApp or the bell for the concierge to open the door. The situation: my friend and I return to the hotel at 12:00 AM and start ringing all the bells, but no one opens. Since we had internet access, we opened the hotel's official website and tried calling the numbers listed (it turned out that the header only displayed reservation numbers, while the reception number was at the bottom of the page, something we only learned about after the owner told us). There was zero response. We stood outside the hotel for 15 minutes with no apparent chance of getting in; everyone was asleep. Finally, my friend, risking her pants and neck, climbed over the fence and started pounding on the lobby door and the first-floor windows. This continued for another 15 minutes. The concierge, to our envy, was sound asleep; she wasn't disturbed by the doorbell, the knock, or anything. At the end of this performance, I started screaming like a thug who wanted to steal your phone. Luckily for us, a wonderful man (I wish you happiness and health) came out onto the balcony, awakened by my screams and my friend's knocking. This knight in black shorts is approaching the receptionist, who's sleeping like a baby. And so, she floats up to us, with a sofa imprint on her face, her hair like, "I wasn't sleeping, I just took a nap," and starts arguing that we didn't ring or knock, and that there's no point in yelling, she can hear everything. Since this whole party had only lasted 40 minutes, the proceedings were postponed until the morning.
In the morning, we only heard an apology from the hotel owner, who came in to find out why she had 10 missed calls on her phone overnight. The wonderful receptionist just stood there, her face smirking, her mouth unable to open to apologize.
The owner timidly asked how we could make amends, but since we were already checking out and time was running short, we received no compensation. Later, no one contacted me or offered compensation. As they say, what happened is what happened, so what's there to complain about?

In short, it's a complete disaster. How can you be so irresponsible about people's comfortable stay? It's a question of questions. We arrived an hour after curfew and spent 40 minutes, risking our health, trying to get into our room. And other than a hasty apology, we received NOTHING.

2. Totally skimping on breakfast (maybe this is in November) – only two options for all four days. No choice at all.

3. Payment only in cash or by bank transfer for the room. Say goodbye to cashback.

4. My room's windows overlooked a "shady joint" where, even in November, the music was blaring merrily.
