A great place for a quiet, "Soviet" getaway. Almost exclusive these days. I really liked the architecture. The signature touch of the master – Soviet architect and Abkhazian Abu Alkhazov – is evident. Everything has been lovingly restored. It's a relaxing place. Excellent beach, clear sea. And quiet! None of the din of southern cafes or the noisy "Adler" embankment.

The hotel grounds are simply enormous. Plenty of greenery, a playground, a café, a hammam, and a swimming pool—all within the hotel grounds. The sea is just 10 meters away. A great location.

While strolling along the seashore in Old Gagra in the evening, we stopped at a restaurant for dinner and strolled through the well-kept and beautiful hotel grounds. A good hotel for a pleasant stay. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are always delicious. Unfortunately, there aren't enough umbrellas (they have to be taken early in the morning).
