Im. Chelyuskintsev Sanatorium in Gagra

We were on holiday from 09/07 to 09/13/25. We stayed in the new building on the side facing the highway. It was noisy, and you could barely breathe if you closed the windows (cars were driving around 24/7, and the dogs were barking). The power went out up to ten times a day, but it immediately switched to the independent power. There was WiFi, but it was very weak, and you couldn't always get in. The renovations were done, but it was all for show, and many were already failing. The girls at reception were pleasant.
The food was average, buffet style, and there was plenty of choice. The beach was always full, but there weren't enough sun loungers for hotel guests during peak hours; they were taken up by the haranies, and there were a lot of strangers. The recreation area inside was small, and we went to neighboring hotels for walks. Many people got sick, but these were mostly people who ate outside the hotel, mostly on excursions or somewhere else. About Gagra—it was like being in the 90s; the locals try to charge you as much for everything as possible, and even cheat you when you tell them about it, they blatantly turn you down. I liked the new iPhone and the caves, but it's better to go on your own, without being forced to buy extra services like various tastings (after one of them, I got sick and my vacation was ruined). Conclusion: I won't be going to Abkhazia anytime soon (and I'm not expecting that for a long time).

We are resting at the moment. Today is July 1. We are resting in the NEW building. The rooms are good, everything is clean, simple but new furniture. The plumbing is new, everything works. Gels, soap, toothpaste, brushes, in general, the entire hotel standard set.
Water is put into the room every day. The territory is good, nature is fascinating !! the sea is beautiful and nowhere closer.
I would put 4 stars, but there is one thing that just disappointed me (to put it mildly). The smell in the dining room, although it is wrong to call the restaurant at the hotel a dining room, but as you enter it, you get the feeling that you are in a terrible canteen. Mixed aroma of food ...well, really, make a good exhaust, otherwise you come in and you don’t like the food itself and you don’t want to eat it ((. And the dining room itself for the guests of the main building is small, you open the doors and immediately crash into a line of people with trays , everyone is crowding, waiting for food to be put on their plates. Young guys are standing at the stoics serving, who are wearing gloves, who are not, who of them lays food, who cleans the table, I still don’t understand. You look from the side at the place where they give food , or rather, who gives it, that there is a passage yard.
But the food is generally simple and quite good, no frills. Don't expect frills, but be full.
Only for this place in the hotel I put 3 stars!
Upon arrival, I wanted to put 2 out of anger, because we took it with three meals a day and we will have to go there all the time or go and eat in another place, although we paid precisely in order not to go and not look for where to eat !!!
but everything else pleases.
The girls at the reception are good, the rooms are good with a balcony and a view of the sea and eucalyptus trees, the territory is nice, the sea is beautiful and there are sun loungers and umbrellas, it seems that everyone has enough, no one was left without them!)
