Where to stay in Gjirokaster

This isn't my first time staying at this wonderful property, and each time has been a fantastic experience, thanks to the wonderful Klidy, his mother, and the other lovely lady. I wish this wonderful family all the best, and I'll definitely be back. Thank you again for everything.

Best choice for hotel if you planning to visit Gjirokaster city od UNESCO. Near to the city, 3 minutes by car, with a safe big parking and amazing swimming pool available for swimming and enjoying under the palm trees all day and late in the night. Exceptional breakfast, hospitality on high level. I give 10 if 10 for our stay ❤️❤️❤️

Excellent location, about 5 minute drive from Gjirokaster. The swimming pool was more than appreciated and very clean. To top it all, I really liked the kindness of all the staff, especially the young man who carried my bag to the second floor! Although it’s not modern, I had everything I needed !

One of the few hotels in this area with a swimming pool. The pool is well-maintained. The owner is very friendly and helpful, truly wonderful. The rooms are standard and somewhat outdated but it's soon going tobe renovated, so for the prices they charge it's very reasonable. Breakfast is local style, I liked it. Realy nice stay, when we visit Albanië again we return here.

I was there 3 years ago and loved to come back this year as well. The rooms were very clean, nicely decorated and comfy. Parking space right in front of the guesthouse, delicious breakfast. The host was very welcoming and the location was optimal. Definitely visiting, if I come to Gjirokastra again.

I loved the location the most. Steps to central area, close to the castle. Parking right in front of the hotel. Room was relatively clean, found long hair on the bathroom floor. I didn't like the "superior" room. I asked for a double or queen bed but I got another single bed too. No room to turn around. The single bed was the only option to use for my luggage. We had such a wonderful experience with Alma in Gjirokastër! When we arrived at our originally booked accommodation around 9 PM, we were told there was no room available. Thankfully, we found Alma, who immediately welcomed us with so much kindness. She made us feel at home right away and helped us with everything we needed. Managed by an incredibly hospitable family, from the very first phone call to the warm welcome upon arrival, everything was perfect. This is a true Ottoman house. It's like staying in a museum. The room is totally authentic, except for including a modern bathroom. The family who owns and runs this are exceptionally nice and helpful. My father and I have known this great place and the hosts since 2019. Absolutely gorgeous hotel and rooms, delicious meals, and most importantly - very friendly and helpful hosts. In fact, the hosts even helped me repair my old film camera - they found the right screwdriver and helped me fix the mechanism. Recommended.

Evisa and Vullnut made hotel Musee feel like a home away from home. Btw, we are from Malaysia. Besides the amazing panoramic view and thoughtfully designed room, here are some I consider value added features : 1) 5-10 mins walk to the town where the actions are ( cafes, restaurants, places of interest etc). The Gjirokoster castle is also a nearby climb up. Good walking shoes are highly recommended...

Hotel Musee.. what a delightful find. A wonderful welcome and upgrade to a larger room. Loved the traditional decor and breathtaking views g from the terrace. Breakfast fare different every day. Generous portions. Fresh and delicious. So close to attractions and tavernas and bazaar. Will be recommending you for sure!!

We stayed here in their duplex family room for a night during our short Albania trip last December.. very beautiful room , lovely view , warm host family.. we enjoyed our stay .. a little tricky to drive the steep roads leading to it but a lot of sights to visit around , most within walking distance.

Hotel is high up the hill and you had to climb quite a few stairs yo go to the rooms, which makes it very hard if you’re traveling with children or elderly. We highly recommend staying here. Very nice hosts who was very helpful via whatsapp. You can easily drive up to the hotel, some steep streets but no problem and navigation shows the way. We had a fantastic stay in Gjirokaster and hotel Pashai was the ideal place for us to stay at. We stayed for two nights which allowed us to take things slow and to really enjoy this beautiful place. Great value, quaint rooms with a lovely terrace and breakfast! Fancy soaps etc too. Owner was very helpful as I struggled with the narrow road to the hotel and kindly parked our car for us! Everything about our stay was perfect. The room with city views was full of natural light, beautiful decor, very very clean, lovely bathroom. Service is exceptional. Friendly, helpful, welcoming. And breakfast was delicious with local ingredients.

Amazing hotel situated in a small town, easy to find and to park near the hotel. The staff is very nice and ready to help at any time, our room was super clean and spacious with a great view of the village and fields. Lovely stay. Best place for relax and chill. Helpful staff, sometimes with issues in communication, but no big problems :-) Super place to stay with family. No crouds, lovely mountains views, and the best traditional food made with passion. Recommend this place!

If you're looking for a beautiful place to stay in the area just outside of the old Gjrokaster town then this is well worth your time. Tucked up against the mountains with incredible views over the valley in a quiet authentic Albanian village, with home made food with fresh ingredients, pool facilities and breakfast options making it a complete all in one stay away from it all.

That is a place stay if you go to Permet, Worth to visit if you want to get away from the crowds and relax. A little hotel surrounded by amazing landscape and fresh food.
