Hotel is high up the hill and you had to climb quite a few stairs yo go to the rooms, which makes it very hard if you’re traveling with children or elderly. Rooms are small but very cleaned and the air conditioning functional. Breakfast quite poor (no coffee or milk) even though staff was friendly. Best thing - the windows on the double room that allowed you to sleep looking at the stars. Overall I think it is overpriced for the services you get.

We highly recommend staying here. Very nice hosts who was very helpful via whatsapp. You can easily drive up to the hotel, some steep streets but no problem and navigation shows the way. The hotel has free parking, ignore all the people “offering” parking. The room was very nice, new, clean and has a very nice bathroom with a very good shower. Having breakfast on the terrace is a joy. The hotel is up the hill so its is a bit of a walk up/dow hill from the busy touristic center but if you do not want to walk hills you should avoid Gjirocastër :-). The advantage is that you are very close to the castle and Ali Pasha bridge (which are uphill) and there are multiple nice restaurants around.

We booked a stay at Hotel Pashai a week in advance for our trip to Gjirokastër. However, when we were close to the hotel, we called the host for directions because the maps kept leading us in circles. Unfortunately, the host was neither polite nor helpful on the phone, which made the situation frustrating. Due to this poor customer service, we decided to cancel our booking and find accommodation elsewhere. Definitely not the welcoming experience we expected.

We had a fantastic stay in Gjirokaster and hotel Pashai was the ideal place for us to stay at. We stayed for two nights which allowed us to take things slow and to really enjoy this beautiful place. The room was cosy and the view from our window was stunning, breakfast was provided and really nice too. The hotel is ideally located between the bazar and the Ali Pasha bridge and right next to the Castle. The service was excellent and we were given a warm welcome to Albania by the family who went beyond our expectations. Thank you again!

Great value, quaint rooms with a lovely terrace and breakfast! Fancy soaps etc too. Owner was very helpful as I struggled with the narrow road to the hotel and kindly parked our car for us! Well conditioned and perfect location, walking distance to the bazaar and other main attractions/restaurants etc. Would highly recommend!

Everything about our stay was perfect. The room with city views was full of natural light, beautiful decor, very very clean, lovely bathroom. Service is exceptional. Friendly, helpful, welcoming. And breakfast was delicious with local ingredients.

This family is just amazing. We had a great experience. The place is spotlessly clean, with comfortable room and bed, excellent location uphill near the castle and short walk from one of the best restaurants in town. The breakfast was amazing and they did try their best to make your stay memorable. The mother and the children speak fluent English, so it does help a lot. We had great time and extended our stay. Highly recommended.

The room is so beautiful and the design is unique, one of the most beautiful rooms that I have stayed in. The shower is clean and spacious. The hosts were lovely and kind and the breakfast was served in the terrace. Highly recommended!!

Room vas very clean, the bed was comfortable, the owner was very simpatic. Breakfast was very good. Many people in the comments complained about the location but we liked it. Hotel was located in quiet zone but close to the tourist places like for example the castle. It is true that hotel is located in high place and that google map leads through the wrong road, through stairs that you cant drive by car BUT if you check map by yourself, then you see that there are roads through which you can get excatly near the hotel (parallel to the castle) where you can park your car. So just dont trust google map but check it by yourself.
