The food is good, but the problems are as if it were on the seashore, the service is bad, the waiter's behavior is bad, I don't want to visit that place!!!!!??
We stopped by by chance after looking for somewhere to eat and was pleasantly surprised. They have a kind of buffet but where they kindly ask you to see the food (especially because of the difference in languages, although they speak English) and choose what you like best. We ordered a kind of lasagna but made with delicious macaroni, rice with chicken the same, a kind of empanada but with its Albanian...

Oh what a find! We were slightly nervous about our Albania trip and we really did not need to be. It was an hour’s drive from Sarande in to the mountains to Gjirokaster via some stunning scenery but there was not much habitation in between. We were apprehensive about what we would find on our arrival in Gjirokaster. The village itself is absolutely stunning with loads of culture and history and...
Clean room, great food and very friendly, pro active staff! We wished we stayed longer. One full day can be spent by the pool with amazing views of the old town! The pool water is super clean too! Food and drinks were reasonably priced and there’s free parking! Stay as long as possible!
Fabulous facility with stunning pools and restaurant with panoramic views in all directions. If you’re driving your own car, it’s a little difficult to access. Advice: park at the hotel and then take a taxi to any destination. Restaurant is excellent, with breathtaking views.
Such a beautiful hotel in an amazing location. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable, and each room has an amazing view. The pools are beautiful, and it’s a stunning location to have breakfast and dinner. It’s a fair stroll downhill into town, but a taxi back is no problem.
So happy with the service, food and drinks. Breakfast was amazing! Looking forward to go back and stay there!
A wonderful stay! The pool and mountain views were stunning, the food delicious, and the service exceptional. Staff were incredibly helpful, even arranging a reliable taxi service that made exploring Gjirokastër’s tricky old town easy. Highly recommend!

(went there a few month ago) The owners were super friendly and helpful. And the location was very good, close to almost everything. The owner reccomend to take a walk to the castle even though the road is steep. We're glad she told us because we found lots of gorgeous places on our walk.
Located in the new town area. Good base at Gjriokaster if one carries heavy luggage. 10 minutes walk to the bus stop outside the main road gas station. However, it requires about 30 minutes steep walk to the castle. If anyone wants to walk less, a bus for 30 lek can bring you to the old town at uphill. Owner is extremely kind and helpful. Room is clean and well equipped. Nice view of the city and...
The best value for money. The host with the warmest heart in Albania. The best place to get away but still be in the city. Comfy room. There are lots of nice restaurants around but they mostly serve chicken and also other things. Its a long walk to the castle but there are taxis around the corner if needed. The roof top of the hotel is a very cosy place to have your morning coffee or have a tee at...
What can i say for this friendly and really helpful couple? I needed a room last minute just for the night and their service and attitude was excellent. The lady speaks 3 languages and maybe more so you will definately get a great communication. The room and bathroom were so clean i felt sorry to use them :D Highly recommended.
Good service with a bit of introduction of the manager. The rooms are nice with air condition and good bathroom. A must to check is the terrace with amazing views like the castle. Priceless

I stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights and I did a stupid thing. I do not want to elaborate just want to mention that the owner of the hotel showed exceptional help and generosity which I had not experienced in a long, long time. Shortly: the staff is friendly, helpful and the director/owner is a fantastic person. Thank you very much for such a pleasant encounter. Ivana Watson

Located at the edge of the town within easy reach of the centre, restaurants and bars. Our room was small but comfortable. The shower was excellent. Breakfast was varied and plentiful using local produce with the option of eating in or out. The family were extremely helpful.
Beautiful property overlooking the castle ,close to Old Bazaar, excellent location location. Beautifully constructed hotel with stone & wood. The hosts were exceptionally kind ,warm & helpful ,5 star hospitality . Will definitely stay here again
This hotel was a great pleasure to visit. We had spacious loft room 301. A very hot room in the heat...but air conditioning is excellent and quickly cooled the room. The staff and manager are very friendly and were most obliging. The mattress was comfortable ...slightly firm at first. Hotel patio has lovely views of the valley and imposing castle towering above. Very pleasant young team with good English in charge of reception and the breakfasts. Terrace with stunning views. Just on the edge of the old town - everywhere easy to walk to and friendly (but don’t go for the gastronomy) restaurants. A comfortable place to stay.
It's a simple motel for a couple of days' stopover. The staff is fast and friendly, good treatment, very good parking. There were no towels and the front desk resolved the issue quickly.
No elevator access to my room, which was awful. Not to mention key card didn’t always work. Lovely way down to the office after a day of walking. Really frustrating when you have mobility issues.
Great hotel. Amazing modernized old building
Great experience. Delicious breakfast. Extremely friendly staff.
Authentic and very nice. Rooms are great. Views from the second floor terrace is fantastic. Highly recommended

All perfect, location, breakfast, hotel, room, staff, recommend.
Very nice hotel...a struggle to find, but worth it. Clean and tidy, nice staff with good English. Large room out front was comfy but you do get morning noise, i might have preferred no view as we didn't sit in the room at all.
I can definitely recommend this small hotel. Very cozy, friendly and helpful staff, nice pool and a little gym with a great view. Located right next to the old town. Our room was on the top floor and the roof was a little low, but it was clean, nice and with good air conditioning
Lovely small hotel in an old house, very close the bazaar centre. Good size rooms, modern bathroom. Also a small swimming pool and patio area where they serve a big and varied breakfast. Helpful staff, couldn't fault it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It’s more like a boutique hotel or bed and breakfast. Wonderful welcome by the staff. Our room was spacious for our family of 4. We were considering a larger resort there, but I’m so happy we didn’t. Praga was closer and a short walk to the old town and…that big resort is not walkable to the sites. The room was super clean and had modern and nice bathrooms. The...

A charming hotel in an historic and well renovated period Ottoman era villa. The room we had was comfortable and spacious. There are level views from the balcony of the old and new towns and across the valley. It is well situated for the old bazaar quarter and castle. À highlight is the substantial breakfast available to be served on the terrace, the balcony or indoors. The staff are helpful and charming
It is situated in the hart of the old town, so almost all sites are at walking distance
Stayed family room. Roomy and clean. Feel like back to the past of Ottoman era that is decorated with. located near Old town 5 mins away. Parking place privided in the property.
Stunning hotel in the upper hillside of the town. Traditional architecture, incredible views, charming owners and support staff. Wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night!
great value for money Room was exactly like a picture. 250 years old, with many original details. Very cozy place with a fantastic view. They served tasty and home made dishes for breakfast on balcony on top, again with beautiful view. Free parking. Positive experience.
Beautiful, quaint hotel with lovely old style Albanian furnishings. Classic! We took “the best” room #3, with king-size very comfortable bed with soft linens. Spectacular long window seat with full-on view of the mountains was extraordinary to lounge in at any time of day. Had a huge private bathroom down a hall with a soaking tub and shower. Amazing views from the hotel to the mountain. The restaurant where breakfast is served is on the roof, so it is beautiful to sit and eat whilst taking in the spectacular views. The hotel is in a great location in the heart of the old bazaar. It is also easy to walk up to the caslte. Room was comfy and the views definitely are the selling point of this hotel.
Fantastic location, 1 minute walk from the Grand Bizarre and 1 minute in the other direction to the cathedral. Restautants and bars are on the doorstep. Breakfast was the best that I have had so far in Albania with much more choice and food being replenished. The shower was not great, with water not coming out of the whole shower head but the room was good with a comfy bed.
Really well located, modern hotel. This hotel is just beyond the end of the road up to the town meaning you don't have to take your luggage too far! Modern hotel, stayed as part of tour group so can't comment on value for money. We stayed in a twin room, 3rd floor at the end of a corridor. Room was largish and a pleasant temperature, some natural light. Comfortable beds. Good bathroom, bit narrow...
Can't get any where more central, right in the square. Vehicles only allowed so far , it's a 5 minute walk. Easy check-in, lift temperamental, room clean and tidy, comfortable bed, decent shower. Only negative, there's no bedside light , bit of an inconvenience. Breakfast OK, great views from the dining room. I had a balcony with my room, great views.
Facing the main square Hotel Cajupi is close to many restaurants. The outdoor dining area on the top floor offers a panoramic view ot the town and nearby plains. Rooms were clean with consistent wi-fi access. The hotel offer a modest breakfast buffet. When I dined there the only fruit served was sliced watermelon. The coffee was also weak.
Right on the edge of the old cobblestone paved streets of the city of stone. This hotel is very good option. Breakfast was very good. They do not accept credit cards.Bar service was also very good. We recommended!

This is a lovely old well maintained hotel at top of Gjirokaster with great views over valley and hills. Rooms were in excellent condition and breakfast was amazing - the best we had anywhere in Albania. Highly recommended.
Perfect hotel with a beautiful view! The staff was very welcoming, so kind and generous! I would recommend this hotel!
Excellent The hotel is excellent: clean, welcoming and well located. The views are incredible. There is private parking nearby, E$4.00/day.
Absolutely stunning. You can see it from the main square and it’s easy to get to by walk. But the view was absolutely stunning. The breakfast was great and the service was wonderful.

I had a wonderful stay at Argjiro Hotel. The location is perfect — right in the heart of Gjirokastër, just steps away from the old bazaar and historic landmarks. This is a beautiful hotel with European styling, lovely bathrooms, lovely woodwork, tea kettle in the room. Good water pressure in a compact shower so not for the obese. Plenty of lighting and two mirrors. Firm mattress and immaculately clean throughout. Excellent breakfast serving the expected plus cooked beets, beet greens and vegetables.
Located very easy walk to the Castle of Gjirokastra; Argjiro Hotel has been renovated to match the ambiance of the area with impressive and detailed hand-crafted wood working in the reception area. Clean small room with a view of the valley Very small TV and no English Channels Amenities ok but not replenished every day Fridge and coffee kettle nice but again no coffee replenished each day Air conditioning was on and very cold room Finally they turned heat on Staff very friendly and willing to help but this is Albania
This hotel was one of the highlights of our stay in Albania! The renovations were incredible. The woodworking and art were amazing and fine. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. Stayed here for two nights and had mixed feelings about the hotel: What worked: the location was excellent and very central for the old town and popular sights. While some reviews criticise the ease of parking and getting into the hotel, I honestly can’t see any way of making it easier given the hilly nature of the town! Historic building with welcoming hospitality and very good food. Magnificent views from the dining area. Good local wine selection. Somewhat difficult and narrow uphill route to the hotel, and parking is three floors below the entrance.

The staff was very kind. They even offered us the best view in the house. There were no other guests staying there the day arrived but still, this was very thoughtful.
What a delightful hotel! Small, cosy, traditional with a stunning terrace overlooking the rooftops of Gjirokaster. Very friendly staff who sorted luggage transfers and made our group so welcome. My room at the top had its own little balcony - I could happily have stayed here for weeks! A wonderful place.
