The food was delicious, the ambience ever so warming, the staff are incredibly hospitable and helpful!

If you’re doing the valbona - theth hike, this hotel is literally at the start of the trailhead! Even if you aren’t… I highly recommend staying here for the views and hospitality!

Tony was an absolute hospitality Superstar. He handled everything with precision and speed and treat us like family from the moment we arrived.

The most touching part is that we had a freak weather incident on the mountain, and Tony called personally at night to make sure we made it home safe. Real genuine people heart to heart.

Be sure to ask for Tony when you arrive, because he was a large part of the magic.

As for the stay itself.

The hotel is in the perfect location for the hike.
Newley renovated rooms. 60mbs+ WiFi and smart TVs. Fresh showers, and warm comfy rooms.

As for food:
I recommend getting the antipasti for 2/4 depending on your group size and then picking you main / meat to match. Delicious!!

As a recommendation for the best food experience you have to understand the nature of the timings. The food is freshest on the wave of travel into the area at around 2/3pm. Honestly at this time the restaurant was buzzing and the food was mouthwatering.

If you wait until dinner, the food will still be tasty but understand that it’s mostly cooked fresh for peak times and not the same experience at night given the ratio of staff to guests in the hotel (during off season). This is to be expected as we leave peak season so don’t let it surprise you.

The breakfast is laid out like a feast in the morning to prepare you for your hike. Stock up and eat well, the calories will do you well.

Last but not least. Tip well, tip often, it is very appreciated. The social contract between the hotel and guests works both ways.

I can honestly say they didn’t expect my tips, and I didn’t expect them to deliver anything more than what was reasonable, and in the end we got bend over backwards service with good feelings all round that cemented the positivity of our stay and set us us perfectly for the hike ahead.

Would I stay again?
100% YES!

We had a nice stay in this hotel. Our room was big enough for us and bed comfortable. The restaurant has quite basic menu but the trout and liver were both good. It was a nice surprise they had large TVs and pay channels to watch professional football. Service was quite good overall.

I had an amazing experience here. If they had any bad reviews they for sure took it in consideration and made the hotel better.
Super nice rooms. We had an incredible service (all the people working here are extremely nice and welcoming) all the time, food was delicious and everything was clean. Yes there are some parts in renovation still (so if you know that don’t put it as bad review 🫢)
