The Hotel was clean, but it is not a place for couples to stay it is a good hotel for construction workers working away from home. Our balcony room with hot tub had an outdated hot tub with a very strong smell of chlorine. We didn’t use the hot tub or sit on the balcony that overlooked the car park. The Hotel has a gym and sauna it is very small and can only really accommodate 2 people at a time. The area it’s self has a large campsite. As visitors from the UK we had hoped to find a bar with local live music - we didn’t find anything, unfortunately there was very little in area and our time spent there seemed a lot longer and than it actually was.

My in-laws recently stayed at Ana Mandara in Port Macquarie and couldn’t fault it. From the moment they arrived, everything was exceptional. The food was outstanding, the service was welcoming and attentive, and every detail was thoughtfully done. The rooms were immaculate, beautifully presented, and extremely comfortable. Leo was a fantastic host who made them feel truly cared for throughout their stay. It was a genuinely memorable experience, and they wouldn’t hesitate to return.

I found the accommodation to be first class, lovely location overlooking the Hastings River with lovely sunsets in the afternoon. Our Host was always willing to assist with any information and history of the area. As our Host was a chef we enjoyed eating in with a lovely breakfast and dinner freshly cooked to our liking. I will return.

Excellent location. Small and absolutely beautiful place. Excellent food if you choose to eat there. Spotlessly clean. My regret is not allowing ourselves a longer stay. Definitely want to return!

Really can’t recommend the Ana Mandara Luxury retreat enough. We have been travelling for a while in Australia and this is was the nicest place we stayed at by far which I wasn’t expecting given this hotel is listed as a 4 star, when it was far superior to many of the 5 star hotels we stayed at. Greeted with a welcome drink, stunning location (we were delighted to see dolphins), spacious and very comfortable rooms, incredible bathrooms including hot tub. Particularly appreciated by me was that the curtains shut properly and the room was properly dark, quiet and comfortable at night allowing a really good nights sleep. Also the breakfast we had was the best we had in all of Australia, incredible fruit salad and delicious omelette. Would give 6 stars if I could!

Location is perfect! Looking out over the river, really pretty views and very relaxing. Leo was very accommodating, an excellent host & a great cook!! My husband and I had a wonderful time 😊, we would definitely recommend.
