The Wellington Apartment Hotel in Brisbane

I dined in at this restaurant mid week & felt like a second class citizen anyone that ordered takeaway. It took almost 45 mins to get a simple curry & rice out plus we waited a while on drinks ordered concurrently at the same time.... I also thought for what we ordered, possibly, it was a bit expensive too. Even though I’m a local & frequent the complex, I will not be returning anytime soon to Raj’s

This is one of the biggest food ripoffs I have experienced recently. See the picture posted - this tiny container and naan (double what is pictured) cost $27!!!!!!!!! How high are the people that rated this place good value?!

My wife asked for a vacation at shafston school 1 month ago. They gave to her a the holiday certificate. After a month she returned to classes, we received a letter where migration told us that we have 28 days to leave the country, due to the school had reported the absence to classes. We immediately looked for the manager and showed him the holiday card and he just said sorry it was a mistake because the receptionist was new, and she did not update our system. Now we must wait for immigration to respond for a mistake they made. The school sent a email to migration and gave to us a paper that said we have a conciliation, we are sure they are trying to avoid their resposability saying that my wife is going to attendent the school from now on, but it wanst our fault they maid the mistake and my wife always attendeted school. we need to know what should we do now, we are worried that our visa get cancelled.

DISGUSTING and DANGEROUS lack of security.
I rented room in there short term accommodation above the college and let me tell you security is a HUGE and DANGEROUS issue that concerns private residents and international students alike.

Locked doors don't mean they are locked. Basically I have returned to my residence twice and on one occasion food was cooked and dirty dishes left for me to clean and an expensive item ($1500) worth of electronics had been thieved out of my room with not a trace of any forced entry or seen by reception at the front desk they would have walked past to have gained entry to the floor.
Apparently the surveillance cameras in place are fake and not really recording.... the visual presence of them is meant to only deter troublemakers not neccesarily actually to catch any illegal activity or crimes taking place.
On top of it, noone is meant to have a key to my room which was locked at the time of both incidences and locked when I returned both times. Unless they have the ability to walk through walls my stuff shouldn't have gone missing and food doesnt cook then eat itself.
When staff was posed with questioning about the lack of security in the building the words "It can't have possibly occured" then shrugged off which to me as a victim was just blatantly calling me a liar and indirectly stating I had falsified both claims.
When I had called the police who did a great job with what little help they received from the incompetent staff running the show, they were also fed BS and given the run around.
As an international student I would not consider staying onsite for lack of security onsite that puts your belongings at risk, even more so don 't put yourself at risk.
A young vunerable person abroad should not be overcharged a riducolous amount of money to be put at risk by shaftson college by giving them a room and that has a stranger with access to there abode or given the opportune to seriously hurt or even worse put them in grave danger.
As a resident I would recommend putting your own lock on your front door as it obvious to me and to anyone that looks at the evidence that a master key to every door is floating around in an unsavoury characters hand.
The reason (I believe) that staff were not forthcoming with ANY information (to the police or myself) is that as being the people responsible they are then liable for every theft out of every room that has occurred since a masterkey they have issued has not been returned.
This review was written with one goal. To inform and warn people about this dodgy setup. Don't be a victim. Don't put your trust in a place that can't even afford security cameras but can charge you $700 a week for a one room residence.
Find alternative accommodation because I wish someone had warned me. I wouldn't be $1500 out of pocket or feel violated and let down by something "that should not have even occurred" but in my eyes surprised something hadn't occurred earlier.
Poor form Shaftson. Very unaustralian and Very Poor form.

If I could give no stars i would. WORST fish and chips I have ever purchased in my life. The only good thing was how quick it was. This is probably because the chips taste like they were cooked 3 days ago, the potato cakes were more oil than potato , and they didn't even salt the chips when I specifically asked for extra salt. Never again.

Absolutely inedible fish I had to spit it out of my mouth. Ten minutes later I could still taste it, glad I did not swallow it. Chips were very average. Threw the whole lot out.
