Vision Apartments in Cairns

I've lived in Australia for ten years, and this is my fourth holiday in Cairns. I usually stay in the suburbs, but this time I specifically chose this five-star serviced apartment in the city center.

The apartment's facilities and location are excellent. However, I find it hard to understand: I booked the room three months in advance and prepaid everything. I arrived during Cairns' off-season, and the apartment was less than 50% occupancy. Why was I assigned to a room on the ground floor, in the very last row of the building? Only one room in the entire building faces the entrance reception window—yes, the one assigned to me. Everyone entering and leaving the apartment, opening and closing doors, and walking through the garden affected me. Furthermore, there was a strange sewer smell permeating the room.

It's truly baffling that I was assigned such a room during such a low occupancy period in the off-season.
