We have been coming to this wonderful hotel for five years over the UK half term. This year we had a disaster arriving many hours late after our first plane was turned back to London and then two of our bags then went missing. The hotel personally picked us up knowing we had, had a fraught day and then fought, on our behalf, to have the bags returned as soon as possible, It goes without saying that, in the meantime, the food, wine list, comfort, service and care in the normal course of business were beyond exemplary. Every member of staff cares deeply about the guest experience and we shall returning to this hotel for many years to come.

Just completed another (our 3rd) perfect stay at the Burg Vital. The property is beautiful, the food is 10/10, the staff and team are wonderful, the bar is always relaxing, the location cannot be beat, and everything is convenient. This has become a special place and visit for our family.

This is our sixth straight summer going to Burg Vital for a holiday. As always it was excellent. Food, wine, hotel, location. wellness, service all perfect. We had good weather as well so could enjoy some hiking as well as the lovely outside pool. Look forward to coming back again next year.

It is a real shame when you arrive at your ski location and then don't get the room combination you have booked for years and ordered again last time. It is true that we were given a different room name in the confirmation message, but without mentioning the difference to the reservation. It is particularly unfortunate when the manager of the hotel says very arrogantly and condescendingly: "We made no mistake" and otherwise does not care about the guest's discomfort and feeling of being disturbed. The confirmation given does correspond to the room combination now offered, but a note that the rooms are different to those in previous years and as requested would have been very nice and, in our opinion, to be expected. Another striking feature was the bills, which were repeatedly criticized, as one time there was wine that had not been consumed, another time breakfast despite having booked full board (?) - Anyone who thinks evil is a scoundrel, hopefully not a system! In any case, we have drawn our conclusions and decided that this was our last stay at Burg Vital and have booked another hotel for the next season, which welcomed us with open arms. We wish you luck, but unless the attitude and service to guests changes, one star after another will burn out!

Ideal starting point for a great ski holiday, ski-in & ski-out! We definitely recommend booking half board, which can be served at lunchtime if required. The 6-course menu in the evening is excellent! The warm hospitality deserves special mention, from the chambermaid to the reception to the restaurant staff and even the Lucian family who own the hotel. Everyone helps out, as you would expect from a family hotel, but unfortunately this is increasingly rare. This hotel has probably the largest and highest-quality wine list we have ever seen. Restaurant manager Stefan and his deputy sommeliers recommend the perfect wines depending on the time of day and food preferences, and do so in an incredibly commendable, friendly manner! For families with children: daily childcare until 10 p.m. with a large selection of games, great! The only small criticism: the spa area is a bit dated for a 5*S hotel and is unfortunately spread across several levels throughout the hotel. The outdoor pool is a few degrees too cold for our liking (other hotel guests shared our opinion). There were also no loungers at the outdoor pool. Overall, a great stay, we'd love to come back! :)

Very small room. Breakfast buffet is quite limited and always the same. Gastronomic diner is not 5 stars at all: quite tasteless food, strange combinations, buffet is also always the same. Great and friendly staff decimates the bad taste of above. Not a 5 star S hotel!

We spent a wonderful week at Burg Vital. The hotel is extremely well decorated and emanates a very warm, inviting and cozy atmosphere. The food is amazing and a lot of effort is put in to offer a different menu every evening. We really enjoyed spending some time after dinner in the beautiful lounge while listening to live piano music. The rooms are exquisite, well decorated and the beds are excellent. The service is absolutely impeccable, from the super friendly ladies at reception to the restaurant staff to the managers. Nothing was too much and I really appreciate the extra care and service given to us (special dietary requirements for our daughter, late check-out, assisting with walking gear etc.). We certainly will be back as this is truly a very special place!

The restaurant. Service incredibly slow and this has been the case for 2 years running, plus staff poorly trained, pouring the wine like schnapp shots at happy hour. I don't eat meat or fish, if you're the same just give it a miss. Mininscule quantity, excessive price and uninspiring food.
