Hotel Auenhof in Lech

Absolutely astounded by the standard of this hotel. The most special part is the service - I’ve stayed in lots of 4 and 5 star hotels but the service is impeccable and faultless. We stayed with our 3 and 5 year old and they couldn’t do enough for us they were so attentive and would let us decide whatever we wanted for the girls for dinner the chef would make them what they wished for

The dinner was UNBELIEVABLE highest standard of food with many courses each night that were photo perfect!

Ease of ski hire within the hotel- borrowing the sledge to cart the kids around town - everything was thought of

Skiing was impeccable too

Can’t find a single fault other than why can’t we just stay forever?

We stayed for 5 nights for a special wedding anniversary ski trip. I chose Hotel Auenhof after reading reviews and comparing to other hotels in Lech. There is a tranquil atmosphere throughout the hotel and I couldn’t be happier with our stay here. Friendly and professional staff with a keen eye for detail and high standards. Incredible fine dining every night but also standout breakfasts and afternoon snacks. Another reason I decided on Hotel Auenhof reading as the vast wine list. Choosing the wine each evening was a highlight we looked forward to. We stayed in one of the suites which was very comfortable with ample storage space. Our family of 4 including 17 and 20-year old joined us for 5 days of skiing in Lech. We loved everything about this hotel--stunning views of mountains and balcony room over the river plus superb 6-course meal everyday with 3 options (meat, fish, vegetarian) that never repeated plus incredibly imaginative and delicious desserts each night. If you are a foodie and love nouvelle cuisine, you will NOT be disappointed plus their wine list is extensive and global. The Strolz Family are wonderful, attentive and personable hosts. The bar area is also very welcoming and preserves the alpine look with woodwork plus relaxing couches and chairs if you want an aperif or after dinner drink just next to the dining room. Each guest has their own table reserved for breakfast and for dinner. Their spa center includes infrared, traditional sauna, a beautiful pool plus other sauna rooms to enjoy after a fun day on the slopes. They also have a small gym with elliptical and treadmill and some weights/mats as well. The hotel offers ski rentals inside the property and they were terrific adjusting boots and picking out equipment. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful too from made to order omelets to cereal and all kinds of breads and marmalades! You can also unwind on their terrace apres ski and have an afternoon snack. All 3 of our rooms were clean, spacious and very up to date plus the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. We also took advantage of the fun toboggan run (hotel has complimentary sleds) in Lech which is a must! The hotel is a short walk to the tram or to the town shops or apres-ski hot spots. Hotel Auenhof also arranged for lift tickets right at the front desk, gave us recos on guides to hire plus picked us up in town upon arrival from our transportation from Zurich. 5 star worthy in our opinion--Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel, excellent breakfast and diner en very friendly staff. One of our friends fell on the ski slopes and had to undergo surgery. The staff were exceptionally helpful in handling everything ( recovery of the ski's, doctor etc).

We had a wonderful 8 night stay at the Auenhof. We stayed in a Junior suite cozy living which was very spacious with a lovely modern bathroom and balcony facing the mountains and the river. The food in the evening was exceptionally good: every course (5 courses plus cheese) was of a very high quality and beautifully presented: big compliments to the Chef and the kitchen team! We enjoyed every dinner. Breakfast was also very good and of high quality. The service was impeccable: every member of staff was very friendly and helpful. A truly top hotel in a beautiful location: Lech offers many amazing hiking possibilities. We will be back!

I have come to the Auenhof hotel many times in the summer. This year we went to the hotel in the winter for tw skiing Holidays. It is one of the finest destinations we know and it is really pleasant to stay here. The hotel is very luxurious and the food is astonishing good, every night.

This was a great place to stay, everything about it was top notch! Food, room, amenities, staff......everything was incredible. Dinner each night was similar to the nicest restaurants and the staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. Highly recommend, plan to visit again.

Amazing service and unbelievable food. The spa pool and saunas were a very nice relaxing experience for your body after a tough skiing day. All my requests were resolved very quickly and with the highest regard for my comfort and wellbeing.

Superb hotel in a lovely Austrian town. The Auenhof hotel is great on every level. Michelin Star quality meals every night (really), great service. An elegant full service spa unlike anything we’ve experienced in CO ski towns. Saunas, steam rooms, water beds for napping , other beds , a lovely pool, red light wood beds for sore muscles. Our room overlooked the rushing river below so we could hear it every night (window open!). The pillows and duvet were the absolute best . Ski school and slopes a short walk away. I went to ski school (met fun international women from all over ). My husband could ski expert slopes all close by. This family run hotel is cozy, elegant with lovely friendly people . The town Lech is high up in the mountains and beautiful . The whole experience here is wonderful.
