Comfortable hotel with a family atmosphere located directly on the slope, near the forest, away from city bustle and noise. It offers cosy rooms with views of the Oberlech plateau and the local cuisine.
Located in Leh, airport of Innsbruck 100 km, Salzburg - 260 km, Munich airport - 220 km, Zurich airport - 200 km, 250 metres from the Oberlech lift Seillifte.

We requested to switch rooms after one night because our first one was extremely outdated (didn’t even have a mirror). But our new room was spectacular! Modern, updated, sleek. Definitely double check what room you are booking as there is a HUGE difference between rooms.
The spa is phenomenal, but we wish it had longer hours. The saunas and plunges were only active from 4-7 pm, so you have a very short window to actually enjoy the spa. They sometimes forgot to turn them on on time, so we were left waiting on a few occasions to use the spa which was not ideal after skiing

Don’t know how the hotel was managed before but under new management the hotel it’s incredibly well run. Staff is attentive, friendly and warm, food is very good and rooms are nice and clean. Location is unbeatable. Special thanks to Ralph (general manager), Saskia and Marco for making everything seamless, from bringing luggage and ski equipment back and forth, making restaurant reservations, arranging 3rd party services, and riding us to the gondola by cart. Burgwald has all the potential to become a 5 star soon.
Hotel Burgwald itself is a charming, intimate retreat with an incredibly warm and service-oriented staff. Breakfast was a daily highlight—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. We also enjoyed a few delightful dinners at the hotel, including a special celebration for my wife’s birthday. The team went above and beyond, even surprising us with a lovely bottle of sparkling wine on the house.
A huge thank you to the hotel manager, Ralph, and his wonderful staff for making our stay truly exceptional. We can’t wait to return!
