Hotel Restaurant Grünwalderhof in Innsbruck

We recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Grünewalderhof in Patsch, and cannot recommend it highly enough. The setting is truly spectacular, boasting breathtaking mountain views, with the magnificent Patscherkofel mountain right on the doorstep. The accommodation was incredibly comfortable. We had a beautiful, well-kept room that felt welcoming and relaxing, made even better by our own private balcony—the perfect spot to sit out and take in the beautiful Alpine scenery. It was a real treat to have such a spacious bathroom, which conveniently featured a proper bath with a shower over it, ideal for unwinding after a long day of exploring. Getting around could not have been easier. There is a incredibly convenient bus stop right outside the hotel, providing a straight, hassle-free route directly into the centre of Innsbruck. It makes using public transport an absolute breeze whether you are heading into the city or out to the peaks. The dining was another massive highlight of our trip. Each morning, we were treated to a lovely, generous breakfast that set us up perfectly for the day ahead. We also chose to dine at the hotel for three evenings, and the delicious local food absolutely exceeded our expectations. The authentic Tyrolean flavours and the quality of the cooking made those dinners incredibly memorable. Overall, it is a superb hotel offering brilliant comfort, stunning views, and excellent convenience. We would happily return!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this charming vintage hotel with its rich history and authentic atmosphere. The view of the mountains was absolutely breathtaking and made breakfast a wonderful experience. The location is very convenient, with a direct bus connection to Innsbruck city center and a stop right outside the hotel. The property has a delightful vintage character, and the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for both comfort and a unique experience in the Innsbruck area.

Very nice hotel outside of town. Food is excellent!

The location, just a short bus ride from the train station, provided the most beautiful views. The breakfast was fresh and provided lots of choice. Dinner menu was excellent and with reasonable prices. Friendly staff. We will come again.

This property is an absolute gem steeped in history. Beautiful architecture on the mountainside with sweeping views of the valley and opposite mountain pastures. The staff were friendly and attentive and it felt like home. Our dinner was prepared in their restaurant grade open kitchen and everything was delicious. What a find this was! And just 10 minutes outside Innsbruck. Highly recommend.

Perfect and really beautiful house and area
We loved our stay. Good food and really cool to stay at an old mountain mansion.
We came a Thursday, the day the cable cars are open until 11pm, so went for a long walk before dinner at the hotel.

The cleaning, breakfast lady was extra helpful and friendly and even let me use her ironing room to iron a dress and shirt.
All in all a perfect stay!

Family owned traditional hotel
This is a traditional Tyrollean hotel, steeped in history and perfectly located for access to Innsbruck, hikes, cycling routes, ski slopes, Italy and Germany. Due to its history the interior is maintained as such, so do not expect a modern hotel. The en-suite rooms are large and comfortable, with a TV and with great views to the North and West. The continental buffet breakfast is perfect before departing for daily activities.

If a hotel in a buzzing city with all mod cons is your thing, then this is not for you! However, if you want a traditional Tyrollean hotel with history and bags of Austrian charm, then this is a must stay. Our en-suite bedroom was a generous size, with a large comfortable European Queen bed, TV and 3 seater sofa. The continental breakfast was substantial and catered for our dietary requirements. The hotel’s idyllic location on a quiet bus route (Bus 560) close to ski resorts and walking routes (the 10kms gentle walk to Innsbruck with detours took 2hrs 30 mins) is perfect. A great 3-day trip, and one we hope to repeat.
