We had a really nice stay, the room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We only interacted with the front desk during check in and checkout, but they were very friendly. The lobby looks grand. There was free fruits, coffee, and water in the lobby. We felt it was worth the price we paid.

Excellent location. Breakfast was of very good quality but the service was a bit below expectation (made to go prepay at the reception as if we were going to run away / ingredients not refilled / very late omelette that we ended up canceling) Rooms were good.

It's located in the old town, and there's no parking directly in front of the entrance.

Holiday Inn never disappoints. As always, my stay was pleasant. The rooms were quiet (probably soundproof). Wi-Fi speeds were around 2.7 MB/s download and 1.6 MB/s upload. Sufficient parking spaces. Funny enough, I noticed that the room similar to the "Gresham Belson Brussels". I mean same power outlets, same lighting and mirror design. Same dustbin. Same side tables. Same bathroom tiles.

The hotel's location is truly excellent; you step right out into the old town with beautiful scenery. The view from the river-view room is especially stunning. The hotel facilities are decent, though I found it a bit odd that there's no water provided in the room and you have to go out to get it yourself.

The location is absolutely fantastic. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the modern amenities, which were in working condition. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast delicious and abundant. Definitely worth to be one of the Marriott family! Looking forward to be back!

The location of the hotel is excellent, better if more wellness facilities such as swimming pools or steam and sauna can be provided.

Facilities: The facilities are very new and excellent overall. Cleanliness: Excellent. Amaaaaaazing Staff! It is super nice to check in with Arthur, who showed us the basic orientation of Gent and some personal recommendations on where to go (his recommendations are true to his word~ :D) Room was clean! There was free water provided but a fridge would have been such a nice addition!

Ideally located for visiting the Minaar Theatre and the Ghent Festivities. Good room and good breakfast.

The location is very good. There is a Carrefour supermarket nearby. It is very convenient to go to the city.

Clean hotel with paid parking. Groceries are within walking distance. But no good restaurants nearby.

Had a very good stay at the Holiday inn Express. Very close to the main road. Good public transport to the town. The rooms were extremely clean, the breakfast area, lobby was also spotless. The service was great. The breakfast spread was great with a good selection of food. Good parking which is charged per day.

Upon arrival, the welcome was a bit lacking, and I find the parking to be expensive at €19 per night. The bathroom is also a bit small. I'm not sure if I'll return.

We came here with some trepidation as we’d gone to the Holiday inn expo by mistake and we were familiar with that hotel.Thankfully we were pleasantly surprised how nice this hotel is. Friendly staff clean rooms and a nice location with plenty of parking. The next Morning we all enjoyed a pleasant breakfast plenty of choice as one of our group has a lot of dietary restrictions. Close to the stadium, very convenient

Everything was good, except for the uncomfortable toilet (my knees hit the wall), the lack of a second small chair, and no mini-fridge. The showerhead was also a bit 'tired' (worn out). On a separate note, I'd like to highlight the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff (early check-in, late check-out). The common areas were also nice.

ibis Gent Centrum St Baafs Kathedraal is a great location oposite Cathedral by its name. It is a very convenience to explore old town on foot from hotel. Hotel also has a car parking but a bit hectic to get in since it is located in restricted area. Room is clean and bed is comfortable as per ibis standard. Staff is very helpful and help us get through the parking.

Great location in front of st. Barf close to everything. Staffs were friendly. We can borrow a kettle for enjoy our tea. You have to prepare your own amenities, except shower gel.

The hotel is in a great location, but the rooms are very small and quite basic. I'd only recommend it if the price is better than the competition at the time of booking. The air conditioning doesn't work very well.

Excellent check-in service (arrived at 1am), average room (very comfortable pillows), bathroom a bit small (but fine for one night, maximum two), excellent breakfast. And then you leave the hotel and you are in the center, or rather... very center! Splendid location! The price is not a gift, but that's okay.

The location is perfect, right next to the Cathedral Bell Tower, and there are many restaurants around, which is very convenient.

The facilities are quite old, and you can tell the room is in need of maintenance. What was really startling was that the housekeeping staff actually walked into my room twice without knocking during my stay. If you value peace and quiet, make sure to request a room away from the street, otherwise, the bar downstairs can be incredibly noisy with people talking all night long, especially on weekends...

The location is excellent, right near the bell tower, and I could see the church from my window every morning during breakfast. The only downside was that the pillows and duvet weren't very comfortable. Everything else was pretty good.

Beautiful old monastery that’s being slowly renovated. We had one of the newer rooms with airco, make sure to pick one of those when it’s hot. Breakfast was one of the nicest I have ever had with plenty of choice, including lots of fruit.

Absolutely loved my five night stay at Monasterium PoortAckere. Brilliant location. Quick walk to historical squares, beautiful bridges over the canals, imposing churches and the counts castle. We had a great 2 night stay here. The room was large and the bathroom was huge, but most importantly it was the most comfortable bed we've stayed in. Also, a very calm vibe in the whole hotel and we were really able to relax. Super location with a very short walk to the centre of town. Can't wait to stay here again.

Stayed here twice, first time with colleagues for two-day offsite. Due to its history as a monastery this hotel is unlike any I’ve stayed at, retaining the charm of its original purpose. Staying at the Hotel Harmony always feels magical. The location, the staff, the atmosphere, are all top notch. Our room was very spacious and we had an incredible view on the Gravensteen Castle. The breakfast buffet is one of the best. While there is a huge variety of choices, you can even order an authentic Brussels Waffles. And I mean, authentic. Not some Americanized version of a Belgian waffle...

The hotel is easy to find. 5 min walk from the train station. The reception is polite and helpful. They allow us for early check in. The room is tidy and clean. There's a spacious public area on the ground floor and a coffee machine for us. Transport to the city center is also easy. I love the environment here.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the castle and suitable for walking. There is a tall lady at the front desk who is very enthusiastic. It is a five-star service when she is there. The hotel is also very clean and reasonably priced. It is worth staying.

The Daydreamer was well located, and very attractive, with trompe l’oeil fragments on the ceiling. Everything was well appointed, and the shower gel smells wonderful. The staff was responsive and helpful.

All perfect, just a little bit loud early in the morning, we are aware it was because of some constructions around, overall the place it’s really nice, and the staff very efficient when trying to solve an issue with the booked room, they upgraded us to another one of their rooms, which we appreciate very much.

Hotel is quaint, in a period building with high ceilings and creaky floorboard. Staff were helpful, parking in their garage convenient, and the neighbourhood was quiet. TV didnt work, nor the Bathroom light, but the receptionist fixed the latter and we didn't bother to mention the TV. Main negative was the very bad smell from the drains in the bathroom, and the lack of air con.

Interesting character property that could probably do with a bit of a refresh. The room was a good size, with a comfortable bed. A couple of minor flaws, wiring was visible on the ceiling light, and the window frames had seen better days. I will probably stay elsewhere next time I am in Ghent.

Building is old so all floorboards creak and you can hear people moving around in rooms next door and above, going to the bathroom etc. On strange observation is the height of the toilet from the ground. At only 5ft 11in tall, I was sat with my feet swinging, and cutting off circulation

Calm and charm Hotel with a lot of charm and friendly staff. Parking at the hotel and easy to drive to is a real plus in a city like Gent where the centre is car free.

Full of design sense, the hotel converted from an old building has a sense of history and is located in the center of Ghent. The interior of the hotel is full of old money style, and the British service is thoughtful and detailed. It is a hotel that exceeds expectations. I am very satisfied 👍

Although the room is a bit small, the ceiling is very high. Across the window is the church. The welcome letter is definitely in Harry Potter style, and the room card is also full of design sense.
