The room was delay, they supposed to have our room by 3:00pm and we just check in by 3:45pm. Everything was great.!!
Thank you,
Rafael Torres
We had a really nice stay, the room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We only interacted with the front desk during check in and checkout, but they were very friendly. The lobby looks grand. There was free fruits, coffee, and water in the lobby. We felt it was worth the price we paid.
Amazing place with Eiffel Tower view and great customer service
First of all, I really appreciate the amazing service and kindness.
It was my solo trip for pleasure, and NH collection ghent was the best choice. Here are some reasons:
1. Employees are so kind and helpful.
They even told me about some good souvenir options and festival information.
2. All the things are ready.
Anything you need? They just give you the right thing. (For instance, shaver)
3....
Excellent location.
Breakfast was of very good quality but the service was a bit below expectation (made to go prepay at the reception as if we were going to run away / ingredients not refilled / very late omelette that we ended up canceling)
Rooms were good.
It's located in the old town, and there's no parking directly in front of the entrance.

It was an okay stay, but I wish there were more amenities in the room. The lobby was nice.
We stayed here for the weekend of 24-25/01 with the family (8 adults + 3 kids) and overall a very good experience!
We saw the hotel from far, but the last 300m were difficult as the gps (google maps) send us via the wrong way. However, we made it :-).
Check in was smooth and very friendly. Rooms were great and clean.
We booked a deal (if we go on family trips, we usually book van der valk deals...
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The breakfast was really good with plenty of fresh and tasty options, making a perfect start to the day. Maybe not great location and overall excellent value – I would definitely stay here again
We had a very nice stay at Van der Valk Hotel and will definitely come back.
Pros:
The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options. There is a dedicated children’s corner, which was a big plus for us. However, I think I needs some maintenance
The kids were warmly welcomed at breakfast and even received special outfits so they could help the chef make omelets such a lovely and memorable...
I stayed here for two nights whilst on a business trip and really liked the hotel. Had a fab stay! Hotel was in a beautiful spot, rooms were great, slept like a baby. Getting there was easy too. Cheers!
Pros:
- comfortable and clean rooms
- underground parking
- amazing restaurant (limoncello)
Cons:
- Too expensive
- the elevators will drive you crazy, be prepared to wait for 5-10 minutes since their small and in constant use.
- service was sadly very up and down, certain members were amazing, and very flexible to our needs, while others didn’t want to serve us if we sat one table away (while other...

Rooms, service and location were all great and couldnt fault them BUT the 3 stars is because the hotel is still under construction which we did not know when we booked.
Our room was lovely, and recently renovated but the hotel was unfinished, communal areas incomplete, you have to enter through a side entrance down some rickety temporary steps. The builders woke us up at 8am which may not be early...
Holiday Inn never disappoints. As always, my stay was pleasant. The rooms were quiet (probably soundproof).
Wi-Fi speeds were around 2.7 MB/s download and 1.6 MB/s upload.
Sufficient parking spaces.
Funny enough, I noticed that the room similar to the "Gresham Belson Brussels". I mean same power outlets, same lighting and mirror design. Same dustbin. Same side tables. Same bathroom tiles.
We arrived and immediately were charged 15 euros for the parking plus city taxes. I tried to explain city taxes had been charged already without success and so i paid all as I wanted to finally rest with my family
When going to my room on the second floor realised there is renovations going on and the view is of a digger as the picture shows
Also this is a family room and very small for four people...
Generally the cleanliness of lobby floor public areas and room were above average 👍🏻👍🏻
Need to be careful when driving into that expo , ikea and the hotel zone as they located along with each others and shared the same directory board which the indicator bit small you might miss the hotel car park entrance

Excellent location right by the river, perfect for an evening drink.
Great location. Breakfast is too easy. The sight is beautiful
The hotel's location is truly excellent; you step right out into the old town with beautiful scenery. The view from the river-view room is especially stunning. The hotel facilities are decent, though I found it a bit odd that there's no water provided in the room and you have to go out to get it yourself.
The location is absolutely fantastic. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the modern amenities, which were in working condition. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast delicious and abundant. Definitely worth to be one of the Marriott family! Looking forward to be back!
The location of the hotel is excellent, better if more wellness facilities such as swimming pools or steam and sauna can be provided.
Facilities: The facilities are very new and excellent overall.
Cleanliness: Excellent.
Location/Atmosphere: Ideally situated in the heart of Ghent city center, with St. Michael's Bridge just steps away and the cathedral easily accessible. The lobby bar boasts a fantastic ambiance, perfect for drinks, and the dining area is equally impressive.
Service: Excellent.

It’s nearby Sint-Baafskathedraal by walk 👍🏻
The toilet paper has blood on it! It’s really disgusting!
Well-located, friendly staff, clean room.
The only drawback is that the bathroom door is attached to the desk, making it difficult to open.
Amaaaaaazing Staff! It is super nice to check in with Arthur, who showed us the basic orientation of Gent and some personal recommendations on where to go (his recommendations are true to his word~ :D)
Room was clean!
There was free water provided
but a fridge would have been such a nice addition!
Ideally located for visiting the Minaar Theatre and the Ghent Festivities.
Good room and good breakfast.

Clean hotel with paid parking. Groceries are within walking distance. But no good restaurants nearby.
Had a very good stay at the Holiday inn Express. Very close to the main road.
Good public transport to the town.
The rooms were extremely clean, the breakfast area, lobby was also spotless. The service was great.
The breakfast spread was great with a good selection of food.
Good parking which is charged per day.
Upon arrival, the welcome was a bit lacking, and I find the parking to be expensive at €19 per night. The bathroom is also a bit small. I'm not sure if I'll return.
We asked for the early check in and the receptionist kindly told us that it is possible
Location was the only bad part of the hotel, if you want to go to the city center you need to either bike or take uber
Breakfast was nice tho
We came here with some trepidation as we’d gone to the Holiday inn expo by mistake and we were familiar with that hotel.Thankfully we were pleasantly surprised how nice this hotel is. Friendly staff clean rooms and a nice location with plenty of parking. The next

Everything was good, except for the uncomfortable toilet (my knees hit the wall), the lack of a second small chair, and no mini-fridge. The showerhead was also a bit 'tired' (worn out).
On a separate note, I'd like to highlight the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff (early check-in, late check-out). The common areas were also nice.
ibis Gent Centrum St Baafs Kathedraal is a great location oposite Cathedral by its name. It is a very convenience to explore old town on foot from hotel.
Hotel also has a car parking but a bit hectic to get in since it is located in restricted area.
Room is clean and bed is comfortable as per ibis standard.
Staff is very helpful and help us get through the parking.
Great location in front of st. Barf close to everything. Staffs were friendly. We can borrow a kettle for enjoy our tea. You have to prepare your own amenities, except shower gel.
The hotel is in a great location, but the rooms are very small and quite basic. I'd only recommend it if the price is better than the competition at the time of booking. The air conditioning doesn't work very well.
The hotel service is OK
The breakfast is so-so
The location is quite good, opposite the St. Bavo Cathedral
The only thing that worries me is that the hotel room is too small, and the suitcases can't be opened
Excellent check-in service (arrived at 1am), average room (very comfortable pillows), bathroom a bit small (but fine for one night, maximum two), excellent breakfast. And then you leave the hotel and you are in the center, or rather... very center! Splendid location! The price is not a gift, but that's okay.

The location is perfect, right next to the Cathedral Bell Tower, and there are many restaurants around, which is very convenient.
The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially at the front desk—Eduardo and Lellis on the night shift.
Staff at the desk so friendly, room is quite clean and nice!
Superb location. We will definitely be back x
The facilities are quite old, and you can tell the room is in need of maintenance. What was really startling was that the housekeeping staff actually walked into my room twice without knocking during my stay. If you value peace and quiet, make sure to request a room away from the street, otherwise, the bar downstairs can be incredibly noisy with people talking all night long, especially on weekends...
The service was professional, even though the facilities were a bit old. The breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. The location is excellent, within walking distance to all the main attractions.
The location is excellent, right near the bell tower, and I could see the church from my window every morning during breakfast. The only downside was that the pillows and duvet weren't very comfortable. Everything else was pretty good.

Beautiful old monastery that’s being slowly renovated. We had one of the newer rooms with airco, make sure to pick one of those when it’s hot. Breakfast was one of the nicest I have ever had with plenty of choice, including lots of fruit.
Good hotel, with lovely location and with more charming in the storytelling than in reallity. Perfect for a 2-3day stay to discover the city, with correct rooms and bathroom. Service is not so welcoming, they did not let us finish the breakfast (send us to the garden) but they did not clean the table…nonsense. Also the cool place to eat (refractory) is not available.
Absolutely loved my five night stay at Monasterium PoortAckere. Brilliant location. Quick walk to historical squares, beautiful bridges over the canals, imposing churches and the counts castle. We had a great 2 night stay here. The room was large and the bathroom was huge, but most importantly it was the most comfortable bed we've stayed in. Also, a very calm vibe in the whole hotel and we were really able to relax. Super location with a very short walk to the centre of town. Can't wait to stay here again.
Stayed here twice, first time with colleagues for two-day offsite. Due to its history as a monastery this hotel is unlike any I’ve stayed at, retaining the charm of its original purpose. Although located 5 mins from T3 tram and 10 mins walk into central Ghent, it’s peaceful and quiet. Varied breakfast selection and delicious coffee. Although I’m here on business, there were lots of holiday-makers here...

This place is great, very quiet. There's a small bus terminal right outside (many bus routes start there). The bar downstairs looks lively, but the residential area is completely undisturbed. Clean and conveniently located. Luggage storage is in garage accessed by key card so wasn’t the most comfortable with that.
The two single beds requested were provided but it was not a safe arrangement as one bed was on a really elevated platform (four steps high from the ground) making it not easily accessible and frankly quite unsafe! Absolutely loved everything about Hotel Harmony. Beautiful building, really friendly staff, fab location, gorgeous views and our room exceeded our expectations. The street it’s on was perfect for us; a little bit off the beaten path and great cafes, bars, restaurants, a fab record shop and more. ❤️
Staff, location and view was great. Loved the room too although the temperature control was off and would either be really hot or really cold!
Staying at the Hotel Harmony always feels magical. The location, the staff, the atmosphere, are all top notch. Our room was very spacious and we had an incredible view on the Gravensteen Castle. The breakfast buffet is one of the best. While there is a huge variety of choices, you can even order an authentic Brussels Waffles. And I mean, authentic. Not some Americanized version of a Belgian waffle...
Staff were really polite and helpful, especially the gentleman who checked us into the hotel.
The hotel is nice and clean and facilities are excellent in the hotel and the rooms. Unfortunately the only downside was our tea, coffee and water wasn't stocked up properly so we could not have tea.
This is my second stay of this Hotel I was impressed the first time, I had a great room which was at the back of the building, it was large and quiet. But sadly on this occasion my room wasn't as half as good. There was a constant humming and it wasn't my AC particularly noticeable at nights. The room itself was spacious and nicely decorated with good furniture. Couple of things really bothered me...

Wow—loved the location, central to everything yet very private. 10 minute walk to the train station. We stayed in the lower level studio apartment and it was very comfortable and quiet. Excellent communication - very attentive.
Spacious, great location and clean
I was prepared to provide The Hide the highest possible rating when we arrived. The location and space are perfect. Unfortunately, the communication was very bad. Hotel is quaint, in a period building with high ceilings and creaky floorboard. Staff were helpful, parking in their garage convenient, and the neighbourhood was quiet. TV didnt work, nor the Bathroom light, but the receptionist fixed the latter and we didn't bother to mention the TV. Main negative was the very bad smell from the drains in the bathroom, and the lack of air con.
Interesting character property that could probably do with a bit of a refresh. The room was a good size, with a comfortable bed. A couple of minor flaws, wiring was visible on the ceiling light, and the window frames had seen better days. I will probably stay elsewhere next time I am in Ghent.
