This is a budget friendlier hotel in comparison to most in the area, which comes with some concessions. We stayed in their standard room, the coffee machine didn’t work and the door had a laceration. The pool water was green, it needed a good clean. On the good side, the breakfast was generous and service was good. The hotel needs a good upgrade and a clean to be more than 3 stars, but if you’re looking for mid level budget hotels in Copacabana it does the job.

Responding to the comment from the hotel: my username is exactly the same as the reservation from 27/12/2025. This response tries to discredit the negative part of the comment but makes no sense.

Only good thing about this hotel is the location. This hotel is filled with lazy and lying people. Upon check in we were told we can have an additional person stay with us. Only to come back FOUR days later -- with only 2 nights left -- demanding $530 for the additional person. Called the cops on us after attempting to hold our belongings hostage. The cops literally could not do anything so they left annoyed. On top of that, our toilet stopped working. We complained everyday and NOTHING was done. We had to use the bathroom in the lobby. Every time, we went from the 8th floor to the lobby to use the restroom. The ceiling was also leaking and moldy. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The room was clean and quiet, and the location was excellent. The breakfast was incredibly varied and delicious, especially the fruit. The hotel also offers a full-day tour of Rio de Janeiro, which covers all the main attractions.

Above expectation. The reception able to speak english is an advantage as it is ease non portuguese speaker. Quite old hotel but spacious room and comfortable bed. Breakfast was simple. There is a panaromic roof top bar. Nice view but still cannot see the beach.

i had a great time staying at this hotel! i loveddd that it was so close to the beach & it really helped since i was there for new years. it was only 3ish blocks away! alexandre checked me in & he was such a pleasure! i loved speaking with him & i was always happy to see him when i was coming in & out of the hotel.

i had a mishap with leaving my jacket in the back of a fuber (fake uber) & the next day after my stay, daniela helped me & confirmed that it was returned! she was very sweet & she also helped me at check out & keeping my bag stored away when i wanted to leave my stuff there before my flight!

We really enjoyed our stay at Americas hotel. The service was amazing and in particular, Daniella who helped us out throughout maintaining a vibrant energy. She made our experience very smooth and enjoyable.
The hotel is very well maintained and the staff are very kind and friendly. The hotel is situated nicely near the beach with many restaurants and activities.

I would definitely come back.

The staff were warm and polite, and the hotel was not far from the beach, making it convenient to visit the Christ the Redeemer statue and Sugarloaf Mountain.

My stay was even better than what I expected. Daniela from the front desk was super super dedicated and nice, she was really helpful, solved my problems and made my stay 100% better.
The rooms are spacious and the beds super comfy.
The breakfast is top class and the gym super nice. Plus, perfect location!
I will definitely come back! Thank you guys!

The hotel is filthy. On multiple occasions, there wasn't any hot water and the staff said that they only work there, and there is nothing they can will do. You don't want to touch anything in the hotel as it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Very overpriced for what it is.
