Windsor Palace Copacabana in Rio De Janeiro

Room was spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. We had a small balcony with a nice sea view. AC was a bit noisy and the curtains did not fully cover the sunlight.

Hotel is close to the beach and there is a convenient store just downstairs that sells water and alcohol. This is particularly useful as none of the drinks in the minibar are free (no complimentary water as in most hotels of this type).

Laundry service was extremely expensive so we did not use it.

Reception was very cold both at check in (one was on the phone and the other one ignored us) and at check out (when we were asked coldly to stay until they had verified that as we indicated to them, we did not take anything from the minibar). This is unpleasant is not usual in this type of hotels particularly when we paid around 2000 euros for our stay. There is room to improve such first and last impressions.

The pool on the roof is convenient for a quick refresh or for children noting that it is a small pool: do not expect to go for a swim.

Excellent hotel, one block from the beach, excellent service, rooftop pool overlooking Copacabana beach.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel for my first time in Rio. I felt extremely safe in the hotel as they take many precautions such as locking the front doors in the evening and night. The staff are very attentive, many times they opened the front door for us and any time we entered or exited a car in front of the hotel, Felipe ran to us to open the car door and load our luggage. The breakfast is delicious with many options, the room is very clean and well kept. The roof top pool could be a little bigger, but the view and amenities (shower and sauna) make up for the small pool. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is located on the beach in Copacabana. It's quite old, the rooms are extremely small, there's barely any space for luggage racks, and there's no kettle, shampoo, or shower gel. The only redeeming quality is that the staff are quite friendly.

The hotel is very close to the beach. The rooms are spacious. The bathroom has great hot and strong water pressure. The service is excellent. Staff will immediately come to help you with your luggage whenever they see it. Brazil generally uses 110 volts. The hotel thoughtfully provides two 220 volt power outlets in the rooms, convenient for using a hairdryer and electric kettle. I'm just not sure how to connect to the Wi-Fi. The view from the hotel's rooftop is fantastic.

Great stay! Hotel has a great location and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We recommend it and will be staying here again once we come back to visit Rio again.
