Mirasol Copacabana Hotel in Rio De Janeiro

The location is good and the breakfast is great but that was it.

We arrived and the room wasn't ready yet so we left our luggage at reception. When we left the hotel the lady at reception said we still had to pay to check in our luggage. Nobody told us that this would cost something so we didn't pay!

The room was on the 1st floor and had no
view from the window outside, you looked at a dark wall so the room was always dark and you never knew if it was day or night.

When we got to the room in the evening and turned on the air conditioning, water suddenly ran down the wall and the whole floor was wet, our suitcases and clothes were wet and we had to dry them, the suitcase now has stains from it. So we couldn't use the air conditioning and couldn't sleep well. We asked the night shift at reception for a solution and he said he would get back to us. After 1 hour we asked him but nobody got back to us. The man at reception said he couldn't put us in a new room because apparently "everything was fully booked". A reduction in the price was also not possible.

The room also smelled unpleasant and there were open shampoos from other guests.

We cannot recommend the hotel - bad service!

We went as a family, 2 rooms, they gave us rooms 1405 and 1705, the location, the breakfast are very good. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. Room 1405 was very noisy, on the last day there was a leak, but it was infinitely less worse than what happened in 1705, which was traumatic with the pipe bursting on my parents, flooding the room and causing us losses.

Really not bad! The pool was a little dirty but the bed was super big and comfortable!
