Happy Elephant Bungalows in Koh Rong Island

Everything is like on the pictures. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel “Happy Elephant” is located in a good point near by a pier where a boat brought us from Koh Rong Sanloem island.
Hotel is normally for short trips. There are many different cafes, also places for rent bikes or some laundry.

Very nice women met us on a reception, she explained about nearby services.
Our room was clean but not perfect, there was sand on the floor. Towels were changed every day.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a long period. It is only my opinion.

I like:
a clean, good services, good location.

I didn’t like:
the roosters crowded every morning about 5-6 a.m., noisy neighbours, which played on a guitar up to 2-3 a.m. There are not rules about silence after 11-12 p.m. in the hotel.
The noise of early cleaning of the hotel, lack of the large mirror.

Finally, if you Unpretentious I recommend you this hotel for short time.

Stayed here for a few nights this week, the room itself was fine however when we checked in there was sand all over the floor, nothing major but an inconvenience. The room itself as mentioned was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend

Affordable, clean, helpful and friendly; 50 meters down the narrow and at times “adventurous” alley to the pier, restaurants and beach.

It was our 3rd time at Koh Rong and the 3rd time that we chose the Krasimir’s cozy place for at least a part of our stay at the island. 🏝️

Happy Elephant is as described- up a little street just by Koh Touch pier. Check in was easy, room very basic with service 3/4 days. Very quiet location. Reception very helpful. Good value. Would recommend for short stay in Koh Touch.

This was a great location! The hotel isn't on the main road, so it's quieter than other places. The owners are very nice and responsive. A huge thanks to Sabina for her help! The room was clean, the Wi-Fi worked, and it had everything you need! I recommend it.

Absolutely amazing stay at Happy Elephants Bungalow in Koh Rong! 5min walk from Koh touch pier!

We had a fantastic experience here. The rooms were comfortable, peaceful, and perfectly located—exactly what we were hoping for on Koh Rong. But what truly made our stay unforgettable were the hosts and staff. They went above and beyond for us from the moment we arrived.

We had a lot of questions (and probably asked them more than once!), but they were always patient, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Whether we needed advice about the island, help organising activities, or just a bit of guidance, they were there every time with a smile. Their kindness really made us feel at home.

The location is particularly great. Can hire a scooter and take a short drive to long beach (best sunset on the island!) 20min walk through a local jungle to long set beach and nearby plenty of restaurants and bars!

If you’re coming to Koh Rong, do yourself a favour and stay here. Highly recommend! 🌴✨

I decided not to stay at Happy Elephant Bungalow as the accommodation is very basic and did not meet my expectations in terms of comfort and safety. The location is quiet and natural, and the staff were polite when contacted.

There was no cancellation charge, but I was comfortable paying extra to change to an alternative accommodation that better suited my needs. This place may be suitable for travelers who are not too picky about basic accommodation and safety.

Excellent location and a clean room. The staff was very friendly.

We stayed 2 night in the deluxe room(not the bungalows)

Good: the front desk lady made us welcome at the momment we arrived, friendly staff, great location(you have to walk up the hill a bit though), well equipped room, its cheap, great restaurants shops and ferry port close
Bad: the bathroom is small, makes showering a little bit ankward

We had a great time here, this is a good value stay
