Absolutely amazing stay at Happy Elephants Bungalow in Koh Rong! 5min walk from Koh touch pier!
We had a fantastic experience here. The rooms were comfortable, peaceful, and perfectly located—exactly what we were hoping for on Koh Rong. But what truly made our stay unforgettable were the hosts and staff. They went above and beyond for us from the moment we arrived.
We had a lot of questions (and probably asked them more than once!), but they were always patient, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Whether we needed advice about the island, help organising activities, or just a bit of guidance, they were there every time with a smile. Their kindness really made us feel at home.
The location is particularly great. Can hire a scooter and take a short drive to long beach (best sunset on the island!) 20min walk through a local jungle to long set beach and nearby plenty of restaurants and bars!
If you’re coming to Koh Rong, do yourself a favour and stay here. Highly recommend! 🌴✨

Location is great, but like with any budget place to stay in Asia it means that deluxe doesn't necessarily mean that. The bathrooms could do with a good clean as they are pretty well worn and dirty.
Hot shower which is a plus, and good location. The receptionist lady is lovely 😊

Hello, do not come to this hostel.
We checked out, canceling two more nights in the deluxe room. On our first night we had no water at all and we went to sleep with dirt all over us because no one answered us. The second night (yesterday) it happend again and it took about 3 hours to fix it. No fair compensation for this inconvenient situation. The owner was rude and said goodbye no compensation. He says we were the only ones who complained but what does it matter? Even if it is a single room problem they should refund for this. Be careful, the other hotels are a lot better.

We stayed 2 night in the deluxe room(not the bungalows)
Good: the front desk lady made us welcome at the momment we arrived, friendly staff, great location(you have to walk up the hill a bit though), well equipped room, its cheap, great restaurants shops and ferry port close
Bad: the bathroom is small, makes showering a little bit ankward
We had a great time here, this is a good value stay

Really good food and surprisingly the western dishes are better than the local ones. The BBQ is good value for money and the portions are huge. Cocktails also fair.

The only hot food any of use got was eggs. Everything was cold the beans,bacon and toast. If that's cool with you it's a great value I think 3 dollars

We stayed 3 days on the island and we took or 3 breakfast there! The portion are quite good and everything tastes good. The dishes were well seasoned as well which is quite nice.
Regarding the drinks, coffee was ok, and if they don’t have what you want you can always go in front and bring it to the restaurant, they will allow it :)

Went there first for dinner and had the veggie burrito that was ok but the fried vegetables were quite oily.
Went then for breakfast and the burrito with cheese and eggs was a joke, the cheese was a ball not even melted tossed in the middle… overall not great

Got two decent size bits of chicken in my fried vegetables with rice. Service were familiar with “no meat” in the dish.
