Sunshine Hotel Kampot in Kampot

We absolutely loved our stay here. Room was nice and large with clean and efficient AC. WiFi was also great and perfect for remote work.
All in all really nice authentic khmer guesthouse that I can recommend and would stay again.
But the most important thing is how nice was the host. The lady that runs the guesthouse is so nice, so genuine, and so helpful that you instantly feel like home. We will miss her dearly.

Our stay with Soriya was truly exceptional.
We felt welcome from the very first moment. Everything was clean, cozy, warm and wonderfully family like. Soriya and her team were always ready to help and really gave us a good home for our new start here. We cooked together, we could use the kitchen freely and she even rented us motorbikes. We spent a lot of time together and I would even say a real friendship has grown from it.

We also grew very fond of the three boys. This family is simply adorable. Thank you so much for everything and for taking such good care of us.

A place full of genuine warmth and hospitality. Truly recommended and unforgettable ❤️

We absolutely loved staying at Sunshine Hotel!

The rooms were so beautiful and clean. The walls were made of wood and looked like traditional Khmer Style. There was a lot of attention to detail, with bedding matching the curtains nicely and a kettle / safe in the room.

It was a very peaceful place to stay and had a lovely relaxing garden. We were made to feel at home and felt very comfortable.

When we got off the bus in Kampot we were dropped off in the middle of nowhere and there were lots of scary dogs. Soriya and her son kindly picked us up on the motorbike and rescued us, even though it was late at night! This was very kind of them and we really appreciated this.

The sunshine hotel was not far to town by motorbike and was very close to the river. I really like the peaceful location.

We rented a motorbike from them and when we asked for a more powerful bike, they sorted this out for us straight away! The whole family was very accommodating and their English was amazing!

They did everything they could to make us feel at home and helped to organise our travel to Vietnam.

I would definitely stay here again.

This is a truly guesthouse. Everyone there makes you feel as a very important guest. Since the first moment I felt the good energy from the owner that cares about guest comfort. The employees clean all the common places every day. The rooms are extremely comfortable and good decoration, they all have a kettler, coffee and tea. ( prices for the room from $8).
You can also have homemade breakfast, dinner and lunch there at the same price from the other places.
I stayed longer than planned because I felt calm and peace. You wake up from the sounds of birds, the cool breeze in the morning and nights invite you to relax.

If you are worried about distance, there is a ptt station with a 7eleven very close. And the delivery apps like Panda works well. I was so peaceful there that I just went little times to the center.
As her the cook the amok and the chicken curry!!!
She is also an excellent tourist guide.

Beautiful Khmer style rooms and the best service and staff in town. The owner will treat you like family and speaks perfect English. Located 4km from the main square so it's very quiet. Property meticulously maintained. I've stayed in many hotels in the area and would not go anywhere else. You will not be disappointed!!!

Aesthetically pleasing! We had a standard room with a fan and oh boy do we wish we had air con! It was 36°C each day we were in Kampot so it was very warm.

There are 3 stray cats that roam around the grounds every day and if you have your bedroom window open they jump in onto your bed and it is difficult to get them out. The rooms next to us had no one occupying them and the cats were all over the beds so if you have an allergy maybe try somewhere else. Reason for only 4 stars is we couldn’t have the window open due to the cats and it was extremely humid.

We had a beautiful and big room. The lady of the house is very kind and helpful. She makes tasty curries and organizes fun boat trips for those who want. Her son helps out and is a really cool person. Long story short, amazing value.

We stayed here at the start of 2023, the lady who owns the place has just recently reopened so she was very happy to see us. Her place is a beautiful traditional wooden home with all the modern comforts. Room was amazing for the price and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. She can also cook dinner for you, get the sausage rolls if she has them, they're great!

the friendliest staff you will find, with free fresh fruits available and a dedicated are for cooking that they invite you to use. the hostess encouraged us to bring friends around to hang out and eat, and they do laundry for 1$/kg.

If your looking for a quiet location out of town this is the place. I came from 10 months Phnom Penh and this place seemed liked heaven. Very classic and authentic looking, yet with all the modern touches like countless plug sockets, aircon, water cooker, hot shower and flat screen TV. Also better WiFi then in most places, at least 20/30 Mbps. The staff is super friendly, free bikecycles and cheap motorbikes for rent. If you want some alone time and hear the crickets this is your place, would go back within a heartbeat.
