A Must-Visit Gem in the Heart of Kampot!

I am consistently impressed with Old Town Mart. It has become my absolute go-to store in Kampot for two main reasons.
First, their selection of wine is fantastic. Whether you're looking for a nice bottle to enjoy with dinner at your guesthouse or a case for a special occasion, they have a great variety of flavours and regions to choose from. The best part? The prices are incredibly reasonable and responsible, especially for the quality offered. It's clear they want to make good wine accessible to everyone.
Secondly, and just as importantly for me, they now stock ZYN nicotine pouches! It can be hard to find a reliable source for ZYN in Cambodia, but Old Town Mart has solved that problem. They have a selection of different flavours, which is a huge bonus.
The store is clean, well-organized, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Whether you're a local, an expat, or a tourist, this mart is a true gem. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Absolutely fantastic.
Layout, decor, style, ambience, pool area, cleanliness, food quality, drink options, and hotel location are top notch.
The staff go above and beyond with little touches such as providing iced water when you go poolside.
My wife says it is the best hotel experience during our many jaunts to Asia.
Will definitely stay again when we return to Kampot.

The hotel was second to none! Stunning building, styling, food (omg, the breakfast!) and staff. A little oasis amongst the madness. The manager Jilly was so helpful, couldn't do more. Best hotel of our trip so far!!!

Our 4 night stay here was towards the end of a month long trip around Laos and Cambodia; this hotel was by far and away the best of the trip and we stayed in some pretty amazing places along the way. The accommodation, service and food was all five star. The hotel is beautifully furnished in an art deco style, we found our room to have a particularly comfortable bed and a lovely strong shower. Food service for our breakfasts and a dinner was top quality and delicious, everything is done with a bit of passion and a genuine desire to make guests comfortable and happy. I’d recommend this place in a heartbeat.

Had two nights in this lovely quirky art deco hotel. It is right in the centre of kampot so you can just walk around easily. Happy greeting. Breakfast you choose off a menu. The choice was plentiful and you can always ask for more if you so wish. Staff lovely and helpful. They have a happy ship. Food in hotel is really nice and presented to a high standard. There is a small pool with sun loungers. This is a lovely quirky hotel. We were in room 106 on the first floor which also had outside balcony overlooking the courtyard of the hotel. There are no lifts but that wasn’t a problem as our cases were taken up for us. All the staff mucked in from the manageress to the owners.

We stayed at the Old Cinema for 3 nights and had a really enjoyable experience. The hotel and all the staff were just lovely, everyone was really friendly and helpful. They arranged an airport transfer as well as mopeds for us. The gin club (20% off gin) each evening was great! Would recommend.

We have just spent three nights at The Old Cinema Hotel and in was brilliant. The building dates back to the 1930s and is Art Deco in design. Very quirky in style. All the staff are lovely and the service was great. Although we didn't eat dinner here, the breakfast and snacks we had were fantastic and had we stayed another night we would have had an evening meal here too. They do a gin club 5pm to 7pm each night. 20% off usual prices. The section and quality of gins is fantastic! Very well located within the old town area. The bed was extremely comfortable. The only negative point I can make is that the bed had a large, low, wide wooden frame surrounding it. This may be common in this part of the world however, it makes it awkward getting in and out of bed and it's very easy to knock your shin on it! This is just an observation and I would not hesitate staying here again. Loved our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Cinema. Firstly the style of the hotel is gorgeous in keeping with the 1920s deco feel of the building . We had a superior room which was really spacious with a great terrace to be able to sit and relax. The staff are absolutely fantastic and nothing was too much trouble . They are more than happy to organise tours out . We had 2 tours one to Kep and one to Bokor National Park both organised in tuk tuks . They also organised a taxi for us to and from the hotel , all of which was very efficient. Finally the restaurant , both breakfast and dinner is fantastic . The food is so good and the best we had in Kampot. Also a special mention to the ladies serving in the restaurant and bar who were absolutely so welcoming and friendly. We also loved the Gin happy hour 😀

My stay at the Old Cinema Hotel in Kampot was absolutely exceptional. This place has an incredible atmosphere—the combination of the history of the old cinema with modern comfort creates an atmosphere unlike any other hotel I've ever experienced. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and meticulously crafted.
The staff deserve a special mention—smiling, helpful, and always ready to offer advice on what to see and do in the area. Breakfast is fresh and truly delicious, and the entire facility is impeccably clean and well-maintained.
The location is also excellent: quiet, yet just a few minutes' walk from the center of Kampot, restaurants, and nightlife.
This is a hotel with a soul, where you immediately feel at home. I highly recommend it and will definitely return!
