I chose this place because the app I was using showed a very big discount. Even with an 80% discount I feel like I’ve overpaid. It’s an okay hotel, but definitely not a 5 star hotel as it’s advertised. I’d say that it’s at best a 3 star hotel.

The room is spacious, but the amenities are subpar: the toothbrushes are soft, there are no proper glasses and cups in the rooms, or even the restaurant.

The cleaners took away my dirty face towels, but didn’t replace them with new ones. They left my bath towel hanging on the chair, and the used bathrobe on the hanger.

They don’t have laundry service.

The restaurant didn’t bring me napkins.

These are basic things that one would expect from a hotel that claims to be 5 or even 3 stars.

Beautiful colonial style hotel. Good value for money thanks to Trip. Beautiful swimming pool! Young, qualified and proactive staff. Spacious room, very comfortable and functional. Only small downside, the wifi connection on the 4th floor but otherwise almost perfect for two days.

The hotel was good in general – tasty breakfast, goof location. For me it was important that the property should not have mosquitos, but I've spotted a couple in my room.

The hotel is build in the colonial style excellently located. The room are very good. We booked a 2 room suite. It had 2 bedrooms one hall and 2 bathrooms excellent for a family of 4 adults. The service is excellent. Waiters are very polite and helpful.

I stayed 3 days/nights. Just a recap for future guests:
1. Service: This was my favourite part - all the staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, helpful and attentive. They even surprised me with a birthday fruit salad! Mr. Gold and team, thank you for making my experience at your hotel so nice!

2. Room and amenities: My room was nice and clean, comfortable bed and pillows, it has a mini bar, TV with Netflix and most importantly (for me) the bathroom was very clean and tidy, with endless hot water. The masseuse is a small built, polite young lady but she is strong, exactly what you need after a day in Angkor Wat. The pool is clean too, although I didn't get a chance to get in. The only thing is, if you're a light sleeper, a bit of the noise from the streets can be heard.

3. Breakfast: It is not buffet style, they have a set menu for western and local options. They don't serve lunch/dinner.

4. Location: It is at the heart of the town, nearby places of interest like Angkor Wat, Pub Street, etc. There's also a 7-eleven and other shops/stalls just around the corner.

Overall, shall I visit Siem Reap again, I will definitely be staying here. For solo female travellers, I felt safe at all times, there are tuk tuks available just outside or if you prefer, easy access for Grab drivers too. It's a cozy little hidden place...at a comfy price if you're on a budget. Enjoy!

Great location in a quiet part of town on the main street out to Angkor Wat. The staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. They helped us arrange transport to the temples and into town, bike hire, and pickup/dropoff at the bus stop. The food in the restaurant was delicious. We had a complementary room upgrade to the Colonial Honeymoon Suite. The room was very luxurious with tasteful decor, spacious and clean, with a fruit bowl of local fresh fruit lovingly presented by the hostess Nith, who was very helpful throughout our stay. We also had a complementary massage with the resident masseuse! We'd recommend staying here.

If the mark of a good hotel is that there are other people there, then it was bad news from the start.
The fact that we were on the side of a busy main road was its own hint — that price is an unexpected high and not acceptable if compare to its bad location and no car park.

All the staff were so kind and helpful when it came to transportation, things to do, and places to eat. The hotel had great communication and were so welcoming. It made our trip comfortable and easy when coming to Cambodia from the states.
