The location and pool are great, everything else falls slightly below expectations. The tub and shower curtain looked dirty and
moldy. My beds and pillows were terribly uncomfortable and the blanket on the bed looked absolutely disgusting. I personally removed it. The light switches on the night side tables didn’t work in my room. AC worked well, staff and breakfast were decent but overall the rooms could use some better cleaning and upgrades.

We were very impressed with the hotel and the facilities. The reception staff were wonderful and we were greeted with welcoming smiles each day. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay such a pleasant and comfortable one. The room was spacious and very comfortable and clean. The pool was very good.

Nice quiet hotel with lovely pool area and really close to markets/restaurants etc. Breakfast really good too. Only downside is very hard beds!

This hotel makes me feel very good. Every hotel staff I met is very polite. Whether it is the front desk staff, security staff, or room service staff, they are all very friendly. The hotel is in a very good location. It is very quiet. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby. It is close to the city center. If you rent a motorcycle to go to Angkor Wat, it is very convenient. It is basically a straight road. The hygiene is also very good. The rooms are spacious and the wooden interior is full of characteristics. If I come to Siem Reap again, I will definitely stay here again. I hope that all the staff will work smoothly and be happy every day.

Quiet hotel in central location
A lovely and quiet hotel in a central location. Staff helpful and rooms very clean.
The only downside for us was that breakfast was served until 8:30am, which we felt was too early to close.

The cooking skills in the alley behind the hotel are superb, the dishes are beautiful, and the food is enjoyable

The location is good, the view outside the window is also good, the sound insulation is average. The wooden furniture does not look old at all. The rooftop swimming pool is large, there are lounge chairs for sunbathing, and there are sofas in the shade to sit.

Very good value and excellent location. Doung on reception is very cheerful and couldn't be more helpful. Minor criticisms: the cornflakes box at breakfast to be placed where it's obvious that guests are meant to use it; bring your own devices as television is restricted to a few local channels ( blame the government of the hotel). Food: excellent little restaurant right next door and another trendier place a few doors up the road in the other direction.

This is a nice, medium-sized older hotel. Siem Reap tourism has not recovered from Covid and some of the larger luxury hotels, including Raffels, are closed and just trying to maintain their property until demand from large tour groups returns. City River Hotel is operating with a reduced staff and and reduced amenities - the rooftop swimming pool is open, the adjacent bar is not. Breakfast buffet is adequate with a few Khmer options each day. I was content with my stay and understand the difficulty of just maintaining basic services during this time.

This hotel is ideally located in a quiet area with many small restaurants and coffee shops (not all of which take credit cards - ask if that's important to you) within a 2-4 block walk. It's about a 10-15 minute walk or less than 5 minute tuk-tuk ride (cost $1) to the entertainment district. There are many hotel options closer to action but it can be quite noisy outside until 4-5 am.
A friend of mine who's living there on a budget picked it for me, I thought it was a reasonable value for the money.
I would probably go a little more upscale next time

My favorite place where I could find delicious spicy noodle and variety of food. I did order papaya salad lately with sticky steam rice and fried chicken wing it was so yummy and really spicy like what I ordered. Their place is really romantic and we really like ambiance there with exceptional services. In overall Im pleased to rate this restaurant as 5 stars as they deserved to be. Will be back oftenly.

I loved their Fish Amok. The favour and the presentation were good enough. The staff were well trained and performed the duty perfectly. It was quiet and cold enough for the dining. It is located by the river.

I will go back next time.

I used to have dinner here last year but on a regular/usual day and I find it is good in taste with reasonable price. However, this afternoon (a day after Khmer New Year) I have another chance to go there for a quick lunch. I wanted to order Ramen set but I was told “The chief said it is difficult to make this recipe. Please order something different from that one.” At first, I am so shocked to hear such thing but I have no choice. Thus, I had cheese burger instead. My point is, I should be told more professionally like. It was out of stock today or we have limited amount of this menu. It was sold out also better than what I had told too.

One of our old school favorite haunts in Siem Reap for the past 13 years. This small little cafe grew from strength to strength because of simple, good, unpretentious and inexpensive food. Our usual orders are the Japanese egg omelette, shrimp dumplings, croquetas, but their pizzas and pastas are also very comfort-food level good.

Nice place on the river with an upstairs patio. I ordered a pina colada which hasn't been good in all of Asia but it was at least strong. We shared the fried dumplings and a beef dish with green peppers and Japanese sauce, I don't recall the name but they were both very good and filling.
