Atacama Hostel Backpackers in Santiago

I didn't like the fact that the reception wasn't open 24 hours, and if you stayed past midnight you had to pay a deposit for the key, which you would then receive back upon returning it. I didn't like the guesthouse because of the guests who made a lot of noise; the street is busy, and the night I stayed there, a guest slept outside his room on the floor, snoring loudly, like a speaker. The wooden floor makes a lot of noise. On the positive side, the staff is very welcoming, and I was very well received.

Great location
We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom. If you're looking for something modern and extremely clean, this isn't the place. However, for those who don't care much about that, the hostel is excellent. Standard for hostels I've stayed in before.
Its location is excellent, near the red metro line which takes you to all the tourist attractions easily, and some you can even walk to.
The service from the hostel staff was also wonderful, the owner is super nice and treated us very well.
The only thing is that they are not flexible with opening hours, we arrived in the early morning and had already paid for the day, but we had to wait until 8 am to get in, so if you arrive outside their opening hours it's good to take that into consideration.
Next to the hostel there are some restaurants, small markets and it's on a side street off Avenida Providencia which has everything you'll need. It's quite convenient.
Regarding cleanliness, it's standard, neither too clean nor too dirty. But it wasn't something that bothered me, just a heads-up for the more demanding.

Regarding the safety of the place, I found it super peaceful, I didn't feel unsafe at any time, however my husband and I mostly did our sightseeing during the day.

Overall, our stay was great, the bed was comfortable, and the location was even better. I would return.

I went with a friend to spend a night before going to Viña del Mar, the place is good, bathroom very clean, the outlets a little old but they worked, the bed was also clean, not very comfortable, but we had a difficult night because the guests In the front room they had intercourse at a louder volume during the night and early morning, so it was difficult to sleep. The kitchen is poorly equipped and was missing cutlery of all kinds, and it was also not in the best condition. To last one night I would return, because they have good late check-in and accept credit cards
