The hotel is well located just on the Port easy for visiting. The room was surprisingly big but it looked unfinished the floor was loose there was a crack on the wall and the shower head needed desperately descaling. Ricardo receptionist was superb nice staff in housekeeping

We checked into the Ibis after finding our apartment in Valparaiso was actually 90km away. We use the Ibis chain in Europe as a reliable no frills budget hotel chain and so we were confident that we knew what to expect in Chile. We weren't disappointed, check-in was very straightforward and we soon had 3 rooms close to each other on the sixth floor. After checking out the following day, we decided to stay another night in Valparaiso and were able to check back in again, once more with no fuss at all. The only downside of the rooms is the Facebar, which is open into the not so early hours of the morning, and the noise is particularly noticeable between 2 and 4am.

The hotel is clean, the rooms comfortable, and the in‑house restaurant pleasantly tasty. Its location is great – just a short walk to the city’s main sights, though there is a bit of street noise at night. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were very friendly and well organized. All in all a reliable choice for travelers looking for convenience and comfort.

Awful maintenance in an otherwise cheap business hotel.
Dirty carpets, chipped doors, toilet seat much smaller than toilet itself and I was absurdly overcharged for the room. I went with 2 other couples and ended paying the sum of their rooms, and the hotel asked for more. I'll never go again and definitively do not recommend going, for the same money O could have go to a boutique hotel with a better overall experience.

Very close to the port, a fast hotel with a KFC nearby. The bedding is ok, but the room is not big.

Bar La Playa is a historic bar with a lot of charm. Unfortunately I did not have any of the food (I hear the seafood is delicious), but I did enjoy several of the best Pisco Sours that I had my entire time in Chile! 10/10 would come back here!

On a cold and rainy day we sought refuge in La Playa for lunch. The very attentive waiter treated us to his own version of "menu del dia' with a delicious seafood soup, roast chicken and salad and for my friends, a tasty fried fish and a small desert. We had a reasonable carmenere wine and all in all it made for a perfect stop. Although we speak very little Spanish, the elderly waiter, who has been working there for many, many years was gracious and made many attempts to make our visit special.

Do not go in! If you are reading this from the inside in the 15min wait time to get the wine, you can still leave! Odds are the clueless staff wont even notice youre gone! Do not overpay for the wine that had its cork destroyed, and poured anyway without my consent. Do not overpay for the small unseasoned portions! RUN YOU FOOL! RUN!
