The room was very clean and well-designed, with a separate walk-in closet. I especially want to praise the mattress and pillows – it's rare to find pillows in a hotel that let me sleep so soundly, and the mattress offered great support. The window offered a view of the distant Pearl River and the sunset.

I stayed on the eighth floor and the soundproofing was absolutely terrible. The cleaning staff started tidying up at 7 AM, and the noise from their cleaning cart was incredibly loud! I was woken up by it. Plus, I could clearly hear everything from the bathroom to the bedside in the room next door once the cleaning lady started there. Don't they consider guests' sleep schedules at all? Cleaning so early in the morning... On the positive side, the decor is nice, they have a delivery robot, and the front desk staff are friendly. But the soundproofing is just beyond words; people who need good sleep simply couldn't tolerate it here.

Honestly, it was terrible. I really don't know why it was so noisy. The front desk staff also came to my door at 11:30 PM to check on the noise I reported, but didn't seem to do anything about it. After they left, it became incredibly loud with construction noise outside. I have to say, Guangzhou allows construction in the middle of the night! Unbelievable. The location was also very mediocre, not as good as the reviews claimed.

The location is super convenient! If you're driving from out of town, it's right off the inner ring road. There's plenty of parking available right at the hotel and in the surrounding area. There are also lots of attractions nearby that you can reach by bike, and there's a gas station right next door. After dinner at 'Dian Dou De', it was a pleasant walk back along the park. I consistently choose the Yishang brand, and even though this hotel is a bit older, the hygiene standards are great in all aspects. My only minor complaint is the noise from what sounded like a trolley or cart on the same floor a few times – I'm not sure if it was a storage area or staff workspace.

Not a bad little hotel. The room and hotel cleanliness are top notch, with friendly cleaners working hard all day long! The room was spacious enough and had a good view of the river.
A negative point is the soundproofing (or lack of). You can hear everything from outside and in the corridor. This could be addressed to improve the hotel further.
The breakfast was very cheap to buy, but it wasn't the best selection or taste. I'm glad I didn't pay for it my whole stay.
The staff were not the warmest and some were a bit impersonal. It didn't feel unwelcoming, they just weren't the friendliest staff I've encountered in China. But the cleaners were lovely!!
The location is ok, but there's not much to do or see around the area. There's a small park close by and a few restaurants. However, the main Guangzhou sights are quite far from the hotel. Luckily, there are a few metro stations nearby, although they aren't short or direct journeys to most tourist spots.
Finally, if you want a budget friendly hotel away from the main city, aren't bothered about warm smiles and big breakfasts and you like river walks, this is a good choice of hotel for you!

The environment is pretty good, and it's relatively quiet, perfect for a two-day break. It's conveniently located right in the Zhongshan 8 urban area, making food delivery easy. Overall, it's very nice.
