Hygiene: Good
Service: Good
I had the most terrible hotel stay of my life at this place. First of all I booked and paid for a nice room with a city view, but upon arrival the receptionist informed me that she sold my room twice and someone else has already checked in so now she can only accomodate me in a smaller room that doesn’t even have a window. She did not offer me a discount, not even an apology, I just had to accept it. The next suprise was that the smoking permitted hotel strictly prohibits smoking and is equipped with detectors. The surprise after this was how the room looked itself, it was like a literal prison cell, mold on walls, scratches everywhere, broken tiles and dust on the floor as it was not cleaned. Bed was also quite uncomfortable. There were mosquitoes and cockroaches on the floor, and a dirty main pipe running through the bathroom. Soundproofing was obviously non-existent as well, I could see the light coming in from the corridor under my door.
But the biggest problem came early in the next morning! The hotel already looked like a construction zone and there was a reason for it: THERE WAS AN ACTIVE CONSTRUCTION GOING ON WHILE GUESTS WERE STAYING AT THE HOTEL. What? Yes, you read that right. They are accepting guests while renovating their hotel. This is highly dangerous and illegal in most parts of the world for very good reasons. The construction was so loud that I could hear everything even through my earplugs. The walls and the ceiling also started shaking at some point and dust was falling on me from the ceiling while I was sleeping. I only hoped that the building doesn’t collapse on me while I am sleeping (or trying to at least).
At this point after my first night I contacted Trip.com and they immidiately gave me a partial refund and contacted the hotel on my behalf. Trip.com customer service was very helpful and assured me that everything is going to be all right so I thought that was the end of the story. Just how wrong was I:
The next 2 mornings and night (Saturday and Sunday) they conducted construction works at 03:00 and at 05:00 DURING THE NIGHT! At this time I heard someone approaching to my door. No knocking just someone violently trying to enter. After 10 minutes they went away and when I went to the door I was shocked: The keycard lock was open, only the manual lock prevented the intruder from breaking into my room. This means they gave a copy of my keycard to someone else. I am sure this is not legal and a serious breach of the trust of your guests.
When all this was over and I finally wanted to fall asleep at 6am, the next surprise came: Someone in the room next to me received a wake up call from the receptionist who woke up the entire floor by shouting ‘Ni Hao’ for minutes. When the door was open she started shouting with guests for half an hour straight. Even when I opened the door to shush them, they just continued.
So please stay far away from 7Days Inn, as something is very wrong with the minds of the management of this shady hotel. I really hope the police notices this and arrests everyone involved in this criminal scam so nobody has to go through the same horrendous experiences that I had to go through.
Unfortunately Trip.com doesn’t allow me to upload videos and all of the photos, but I’ll make sure to upload them on googl
