I haven’t reviewed a hotel for a long time. To be honest, it’s too old. The chairs are old and have yellow holes. It feels like I’m back 20 years ago. If it was indeed a very good hotel 20 years ago. In the 21st century, it really should be renovated. Disadvantages: The facilities are too old, and the water in the toilet tank keeps making noise at night, which affects sleep. There are no sofas in the lobby, so you can't rest. Advantages: Very safe, you must swipe your room card to enter. I arrived in Nanjing very late and only stayed one night, so I chose this hotel. Although I read the reviews and knew that the facilities were very old, it was just a one-night stay in Xinjiekou during the Spring Festival. It was okay and the price was acceptable.

Second visit in 9 mths. Good food, prepared very well. Exceptional value as you can eat and drink as much as you can for RMB208pp.

Waiters' lack of basic English and not accepting credit cards (cash only) is a drawback. Improving on it would go a long way though in attracting more international visitors.
