Despite checking in at 3 PM, I was given a room at the very end of the hall. When I inquired, they blamed it on booking through a third-party platform. My Hilton Honors membership was completely useless. Is this truly how guests who don't book directly are treated? In that case, my Ctrip Gold status seems quite worthless.
The general cleanliness was also subpar. There were unknown liquid stains on the sofa, the slippers were those flimsy, paper-thin ones, and the toiletries were incredibly low-quality. The hairdryer's vent was clogged with dust bunnies, looking like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. It didn't even meet the standards of an All Seasons hotel; at best, it was comparable to a Home Inn from several years ago. I'm completely baffled by how it received its current rating.
You'd be much better off paying a bit more to stay near Victoria Harbour; both the environment and rooms would be significantly better there.
