If it is not the peak season, it is recommended to only book a hotel for the first night. The photos of some hotels here are very different from the reality. We very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location in the old town was exactly what we wanted. The bedding was comfortable and there was plenty of room.  It was a challenge to find the hotel and some improved guidance would have been helpful (where the taxi should aim for etc.)

This is a pretty homestay located near the old town of Lijiang. The plus point is that the staff are quite enthusiastic and cute. The minus point is that the room is not soundproof so it is difficult to sleep when people on the upper floors move around. The bathroom is stuffy and smelly.
