Sunny Baška Hotel by Valamar, ex Corinthia in Baska

It's a very good hotel, we had a nice room on the 5th floor with a fantastic seaview. The room was clear and spacious. The hotel is very close to the sea, it's 1 minute. The food was good, I think everyone can find food that suits their taste. The staff is kindly and helpful. The only negative thing is that everyone reserves the beds in the indoor pool before breakfast, even though many of them are not there all morning. Despite the prohibition sign on the wall, no one cares. This is not necessarily the fault of the hotel staff, but a solution needs to be found. We went down with our little boy on a rainy day and there were no beds available, even though there were hardly any guests.

Hotel location is well placed, approx. near the center of great Vela plaža (beach). Room for 3 had been renewed with taste, beds are of decent quality; bathroom seemed a bit outdated and is somewhat small (but quite enough). A normal-height table (e.g. for computer work) is missing, both in the interiors and on the balcony. Views are nice, even the ones overlooking the cliffs surrounding Baška. Brunch and dinner are top, with varying selection of meals throughout the week; objections are not enough coffee machines and long wait the bar serving drinks during dinner (at least glasses with tap water could be readily available). Kudos to Valamar for providing cooking jobs for some people with minor disabilities. External and internal pools provide great pass time, especially for small children. Two more pool tables in the lobby areas would be a great addition. Personnel is mostly very friendly and polite; I did resent the tone of voice of a receptionist when asked him later in the evening to intervene regarding preserving peace and quiet by other guests. Affordable parking = 3 €/day, opposed to other parking lots.

Generally, it was good. Nice all-inclusive resort with tasty pizza every day and occasional seafood. Not much selection of fruits and sweets. Not sure why at least basic drinks like water is not available during dinner :/ It is visible that rooms were renovated: new furniture on old, a bit broken walls. Most of the stuff is really nice and helpful. Lots of great places for kids with the Maro club nearby! Really cool!
The only thing we do not like is cigarette smoke; it was everywhere. Our neighbours were smoking all the time, and it was hard to open the balcony door without inhaling smoke, which created problems for us and our kids. This was very unexpected for family family-focused hotel to see such a big number of smokers everywhere. Beaches are completely full, sometimes it is hard to go through the people. Otherwise it is good and quite recommended if you are a smoker :)

We stayed for a week, and the overall experience was good, though the food quality lowered our rating.
Room Condition: Clean, tidy rooms with a fridge and comfortable beds. The view was decent for the price. Shower water temperature was inconsistent, the sink stopper often got stuck, and the balcony railing was loose but safe.
Parking: Ample parking, some shaded, with a small daily fee for guests. Free 22 kW EV charging stations near the entrance were convenient, given limited public chargers nearby.
Entertainment: Video game room, kids’ playroom, foosball tables, indoor and outdoor pools with well-maintained chairs and umbrellas. The beach is a 3-minute walk away.
Food: Disappointing quality and variety for the price (drinks extra at dinner). Meals were repetitive, and some lacked seasoning. The live cooking stations for fried eggs and pizza were highlights, with friendly staff and good quality.

The hotel is right next to the beach. We had a 2+2 room, which was really spacious and comfortable. The food was really good and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast/brunch is served from 7 until 13 h, so you can drop by to eat any time you want. That's excellent for those who like to sleep a bit longer in the morning.

Great food and frendly staff. Comfortable rooms but no place to dry your towels. Pool good, beach close. All in all a great holiday.

The hotel offers all the services expected for accommodation of this category. The food at the restaurant is decent. The staff is very kind and helpful. Have to complain only that some tables in restaurant are positioned too tight for comfortable seating. Another complain is to the fact that on the web site or on the booking confirmation is not mentioned that parking fee is not included and also that charging for electric vehicles is payable.
