Hotels in Lovran

The hotel needs a refresh! Carpet was thread bare and the stairs leading to the beach were in desperate need of a good cleaning. All little things that add up to a not so good rating. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Buffet breakfast was good.

The hotel is in a good location for the village although there’s not much in the local area to see and do, other than swimming or walking along the Lungomare. Opatija is a 15 minute bus ride away or you can walk it in just over an hour. The hotel has all the usual facilities of a standard 4 star. My room was spacious and the bed was very comfy. Good location, nice, spaceful hotel, nice rooms/bathrooms, excellent wellness area, medium - quality food. Bar excellent. Right on the beatiful promenade 'Lungomare'. Only can be recommended.

If you dont want to park in the garage you need to fi d a space in the xity which is really random, up the hill and tight. Room cleaning was not good even after telling. For kids there is not that much fun on the pool, only pool without slide etc. At the beach the chairs are reserved by people which are not there early in the morning. As the space is very limited it is hard to get a space at all. Food...

Villa Astra is a beautiful Bed and Breakfast. My wife and I stayed there for 3nights/4days and the staff was amazing during our stay. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, and the property inside and out was a great place to rest in peace. The moment we walked into the backyard, we knew we booked the right place in Lovran. Definitely will stay again!

This place has something special, we manager to relax on our first day. Is a niche boutique hotel, for the ones appreciating the old buildings. Also, the magic made by the owner for the guests to have a 21 th century experience. We engoy our stay and we plan to be back in the nearest future.

Very comfortable & spacious room. Comfortable beds. Warm room in cold November visit. Quiet. Very clean. Good lighting in room & great bathroom lighting. Nice shower with hot water. Excellent restaurant for lunch & dinner along with a fantastic breakfast spread. Friendly & sweet staff. Free Parking lot at hotel. 6 min drive to Auschwitz memorial. Loved our stay!

A big thanks to the team and the owner, Mr. Vjekoslav, for a pleasant stay. We stayed only 3 nights and genuinely enjoyed them. The Villa is beautiful and has a special charm to it, we especially loved the wonderful breakfasts outside on the terrace. The little bay in front of the villa is also nice and private for a swim.

Great location and a wonderful historical villa. The receptionist lady was nice and professional. The breakfast is very good with amazing views. However, given the price of a room the maintenance should be improved. The shutters were very difficult to open, the AC is not cooling off the room properly. Also, there is no attention to details. We had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights. The hotel is a lovely old building just a short 2 minute walk across a road and park to the sea. The hotel has been fully renovated and added on to but retains its charm. The most amazing part of our stay though were the staff. I have to point out the hospitality of the staff and excellent breakfast. The location of Villa is great, the beach is close and the center of Lovran as well.

Nice hotel, but smoking was a shame! People were smoking in front of the door! Even at breakfast time in the garden where breakfast was eaten!! Unbelievable that this is still possible in 2025!

Amazingly food, good and really kind staff, we even got a cake for our daughter's birthday, amazing experience and I recommend to visit this great place and nice city of Lovran. 5/5!

Transportation is very convenient, rooms are clean and tidy, food is great

Perfect location, very helpful and pleasant staff. Food was also excellent. Since, we played tennis every day we found very convenient. Courts were much above the expectation regarding quality for hotel courts. Very good preparation and the maintenance.

Accommodation for one night with half board. Dinner was great and breakfast too. Near Stari Grad and a walking path around the sea to Opatija. We liked it.

We stayed one night here . Tour manager told us there are very limited hotels within the quiet town of Lovran.. It is a very compacted & rather boutique style hotel.. And more beauties as we explored it… It is built fronting the beach along meandering road. There is even a ATM and café embedded on the right. As we still have so e spare time the helpful counter staff show us the way to a nearby Kontzum...

Pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Room was large and very clean. We paid extra for a room with a terrace and a view and wished we had just gotten a basic room. The room was on the first floor and traffic noise from the street below made the terrace unpleasant. We also were at the far end and there was very little water view. A very good and charming hotel, with an extraordinary view! The service was amazing. The water pipe broke down at our floor, but a solution was found very quickly. Charming looking hotel which is located on the cliff. I like the wood above the entrance since it reminds me of a wooden cottage. Service is very kind and helps guests. The restaurant has Michelin stars which is good since the food is tasty. It's a shame that the chef Deni Srdoč is moving to Germany since he was very good😢. The best in 2022.

What an amazing location. The restaurant/hotel is located on the top of the hill, so make sure you get there before sunset. Food? Incredible! Pairing wine? On point. Dolce? Delicious! Started with a fig and speck which was very interesting mix, together with some bread and olive oil. Its a good solid 3 star hotel, all personel is extremly friendly, everything is nice and clean, great lounge area, great location near the sea, rooms are a little bit rustic, older furniture, but everything is functional and well maintained. We were very happy.

The hotel is an early 20th century building (I think) with the style of the belle epoch and our room had wonderful high ceilings and tall windows with a balcony overlooking the bay. There was a good sized desk and fridge, but no kettle. Wifi was good and the first time in Croatia we were actually able to connect reliably. The staff was super helpful, the rooms are a bit old, but always clean and tidy. Our AC went off, and we were upgraded to a better room. Breakfast and dinner were both fine, nothing too fancy, but fresh and delicious plates. Parking is difficult and expensive, but we knew it beforehand.

This hotel is perfectly located close to the center of Lovran and between the main road and the seaside . For me the highlight was having breakfast and dinner on a terrace with the open view of Kvarner. As for the food, it was excellent. Perfect for a family holiday Next to the sea, nice beach, spacious and comfortable apartment, well-equipped kitchen. The only negative thing is weak WIFI.

All ok but should be open till mid October. Don’t understand Liburnia policy why they offer it only for a short season

Perfect location, nearby center and easy to move around. We had a spacious apartment in villa with a balcony and a great view, very nice swimmimg pool and a lot of plants around. You can use all facilities and activities from hotel Excelsior, where our 4 year old kid played in Mini Club with Katarina and Jelena from Uragan animation… We were there with a 3 month old baby as well, it was very convenient...

Space-full apartment, good service, close to beach, can use indoor pool in hotel nearby. Good cost benefit balance. Only Challange is to find it, check in is in hotel Bristol. Parking is also not optimal, recommended to boom upfront.

This villa is associated with the Hotel Excelsior two doors down and hence, you do your check in/out there but this was easy. We spent few days in one of the apartments in this beautiful villa. The apartment was fully equipped with all one might need for a holiday by the beach. The whole area is very romantic. What we are sorry the most is that we didn't have more time to stay.

Very nice hostel with a wonderful sea view. Excellent breakfast buffet with salad and pastries. Delicious palacincas, vegetables, jams, and much more. Clean room with en suite bathroom. Friendly and attentive staff.

The hostel is located very close to the sea, the rooms were nice, and the overall service was excellent. A special mention to the lady who serves breakfast, she was incredibly kind and welcoming. The breakfast itself offered a wide selection and was absolutely delicious. Overall, I have no complaints and would happily recommend this place!

There was an issue in that our reservation could not be found so it took a while to sort - none of this was the fault of the staff as they worked to sort us a room before resolving their issue that led to the booking being hidden from them! All turned out fine, credit to the staff who worked to sort the issue as quick as they could.

I have just returned from a fantastic stay at Hostel Link in Lovran. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, in particular Mika and Elena who provided excellent customer service at breakfast and on reception. Rooms were clean and spacious and have amazing views across the Kvarner bay. Towel sizes are not sufficient though and larger sizes have to be requested at reception. Breakfast was plentiful...

Great coffee and breakfast food - for €6, our kid had a whole bunch of things and actually loved everything. The location is amazing, the sea and a beautiful park are right across the street. We stopped by for just coffee and breakfast on our trip, but would definitely stay here if we were sleeping in Lovran.

Beautiful clean room with an amazing sea view, extremely close to the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful, you can literally come and ask anything and they will help you. Alltogether affordable and great for a young couple.
