Hotel Draga di Lovrana in Lovran

A very good and charming hotel, with an extraordinary view! The service was amazing. The water pipe broke down at our floor, but a solution was found very quickly. The food at the restaurant is amazing, a very good breakfast and a very good and beautiful dinner. Would definitely come again. The only, and small downside, about the beautiful location is, that it is a little less accessible if don’t arrive by car - this does not affect our view at hotel, just a note. Amazing hotel, amazing staff!

Phenomenal food with a breathtaking view
An unforgettable dining experience above Lovran. Each dish was a masterclass in flavor, technique, and presentation — complex, refined, yet deeply satisfying. From the amuse-bouche to the dessert, everything was perfectly timed and balanced. The staff was professional, warm, and attentive without being intrusive.
This is not just a meal — it’s a journey. A must-visit restaurant when in the Opatija area, especially if you appreciate fine dining elevated by nature’s best backdrop.

Charming looking hotel which is located on the cliff. I like the wood above the entrance since it reminds me of a wooden cottage. Service is very kind and helps guests. The restaurant has Michelin stars which is good since the food is tasty. It's a shame that the chef Deni Srdoč is moving to Germany since he was very good😢. The best in 2022.

What an amazing location. The restaurant/hotel is located on the top of the hill, so make sure you get there before sunset.
Food? Incredible! Pairing wine? On point. Dolce? Delicious!

Started with a fig and speck which was very interesting mix, together with some bread and olive oil.
Then the cold fish and seafood plate was outstanding, and came with an incredible explanation and presentation.
Continued with a primo piatto of seafood risotto, and gnocci which was really tasty and creamy. So many flavours!
The night kept getting more interesting , and as a main we had probably the best octopus I ever had which came in a sauce, and an amberjack/yellow tail which was also very flavourful.

To finish… dolce! A creamy lemon sorbet, and 3 different rich cakes.

Yes, you are right! That was way too much food, but the the whole experience was amazing and worth it. Nobody felt heavy or bloated.
The service was impeccable - waiter and owner were friendly, very clear and knew how to read the table. Grazie! Hvala!
One of the best restaurants in Croatia, and I would recommend it to everybody to experience it.
