We had a great experience on our family trip. The hotel has an excellent playroom for kids, as well as a gaming room. The indoor pool was great; there is also an outdoor pool, but since we visited in January, we didn’t have a chance to use it. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, with a wide variety of food to suit all tastes. The location is perfect—near the city center of Novigrad, just a few meters from the beach and parks. All the staff were very kind and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will certainly come back.

The hotel is clean . The food was a big disappointment the hot food was always cold , and so were the plates. Food was plentiful and served nicely.

This hotel is an absolute joke. We checked in on the 13th of September and were never told that the air conditioning had been broken for weeks. Our room was like a sauna (hitting over 29°C at night), and when we complained, the staff couldn’t have cared less. Their “solutions”? Close the curtains or leave the balcony door open. Yes, because I really want to risk my belongings being stolen just to survive the night. We asked about fans or a different room — apparently, they don’t own a single fan and couldn’t be bothered to help. The attitude from reception was basically “if you don’t like it, leave.” Shocking. The heat made my partner seriously ill — dizzy, vomiting, and showing clear signs of heat exhaustion. When I told reception, they offered zero compassion and zero help. We had no choice but to cut our holiday short and go home early, just to escape the conditions. What makes it worse is this wasn’t a new problem. Reviews show the air con had been broken for weeks, and the hotel still did nothing about it. No warning at check-in, no attempt to look after their guests, no responsibility taken at all. Novigrad is beautiful, but this hotel? Disgraceful. Until they fix their air con and learn how to treat guests like human beings, avoid at all costs.

Execellent location, food and wellness! Hotel Maestral exceeded all expectations. The location is breathtaking, right by the sea with stunning views. The staff were incredibly welcoming making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Rooms were equipped and comfortable, and the food—especially the seafood—was top-notch. Ideal for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect – the staff was very kind and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The kids’ club was amazing, our children really enjoyed it. The sea was beautiful, clear and perfect for swimming. We would definitely love to come back again! 🌊✨

This is a nice hotel, conveniently located close to the town of Novigrad. A pleasant beach is just a minute's walk away. The outdoor pools were a bit crowded but are still great if you are traveling with kids. There were plenty of food options at breakfast and dinner, and everything I tried was delicious. A unique feature was the wristbands needed for per-room charging. We weren't familiar with this type of identification and often forgot the band, which was an issue for some of the waitstaff. Our room was a bit small and had a toilet that wouldn't flush properly. Still, we had a decent stay. The hotel gym was one of the largest and best-equipped I've seen. All in all, this was a 4-star worthy stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was well organized, clean, and comfortable, but what really stood out was the warm welcome at reception. The hotelier at the front desk was exceptionally professional, kind, and went out of his way to make the check-in smooth. I was especially impressed that he spoke Slovenian so well — it immediately made me feel at home and truly cared for. His hospitality set the tone for the entire stay. Another highlight was the dinner as part of the half-board. There was such a wide variety of delicious food to choose from, and everything was fresh and flavorful — definitely a big plus after a long day. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service, great dining, and a personal touch

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in . Service shocking , cleanliness issues , does not enforce smoking guidance especially in restaurant . Management amateur - definitely not even 2 star. Food cold and they put hot food on top of cold. Inadequate number of public area toilets which led to lack of cleanliness . Rooms were not even as good as a travel lodge !

The experience we have had of this hotel is fantastic. Every day we have arrived at the beach between 9.40 and 16.30 and there have been plenty of sunbeds to choose from. Yes it gets busy but there are always chairs available. The beach is lovely and well looked after and sea area is very relaxing. Swimming in the sea is very cool. The rooms are ample in size and there is plenty of room under the beds for suitcases . The cleaners are brilliant and work so hard all day to keep the rooms spotless The food is amazing. The choice is huge.....I cannot even think of anything they don't serve for breakfast and it never seems to run out. The choice at dinner is vast and always a huge range of fish meat pasta rice and potato dishes with really fresh varied salads. Huge amount of desserts ...and brilliant for hungry teenagers! Bands play every night but away from the hotel means it isn't ever too noisy. Quieter acoustic acts are always in the bar if you prefer. The staff work incredibly hard ..they never stop ! Cannot fault the hotel ..... A fantastic holiday. Would definitely recommend.

We currently staying in Aminess Maestral and we are not happy at all. I don't even know where to start. Sunbeds by the pools are always occupied, you have to come to occupy them already at 8am, otherwise you have no chance of getting them. It doesn't say anywhere that it's a public place, so it's incredibly busy. Sunbeds are occupied by people who are not even staying at the hotel. So basically you can rent a cheap Airbnb in the city and come to use the hotel's services. People camp on the grass here with their own food !!! And it is extremely noisy here. The toilets at the infinity pool are so dirty, that we have to go to the hotel to use the toilet, which is also not ideal. As hotel guests, we have no privacy here, only in the room, which is also terribly small. Breakfast or dinner, always many people in the dining room waiting in line,food is mostly cold. Yes, there is a lot to choose from, but it's always the same. The whole week I see the same food! The manager is super kind and tries to help with everything - especially with sunbeds, but with such a number of people, it is simply not possible. The gym starts at 8am! So by the time I am done, I have barely time for breakfast. We are here with our children and parents and we were really looking forward to this holiday together, but instead we are in a bad mood and disappointed with everything. We are supposed to be here for another 8 days, but we are thinking about leaving sooner, which has never happened to us anywhere.
